Tika Sumpter made a recent appearance on “The Real,” and she confirmed her engagement to Nicholas James.
Apparently he popped the big question on their first Christmas with their daughter, Ella.
“Yeah, I’m engaged.
“It was our first Christmas and he did all these amazing little things. Like I went on a hunt in the house for different things and I thought that he was going to propose, but it was pelican bag that he bought me…and then he had a letter behind Ella and he said I have something to say to you.
“It was like this letter of just beauty. He proposed…it was just simple and awesome.”

What’s up with everyone having babies before they get engaged? I mean having a kid with someone is just as much of a commitment as marriage because you will be tied to that person for life as you raise the child.
