Tatyana Ali sought money for the idea of “The Real” from its producers and took them to court in 2016, claiming she pitched the idea to them back in 2012.
The judge over the case did not like evidence Tatyana’s lawyers brought to court:
[Therefore] the Los Angeles Superior Court got real with former Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air star Tatyana Ali, tossing the lawsuit out of court.
In dismissing Ali’s lawsuit, the court ruled that the trade secret laws upon which the actress made part of her claim did not protect her ideas. Information that would be protected as trade secrets — formulas, methods, techniques and the like — were not claimed by Ali.
Of course. The Real is nothing but another copy of The View.
I’m not surprised things played out this way.
