Jeff Van Gundy vented about how unfair he felt it was for folks to suggest that the Kardashians curse any man they date and marry.
Here’s what he said while announcing game four of the NBA finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers:
“I’ve noticed a lot in this series the debate about why Tristan Thompson has not played well. And he hasn’t played well. But the debate about whether his significant other, Khloe Kardashian, and the Kardashian curse, is the reason, to me, is downright low-rent.”
My thing is this: When LeBron James struggled in 2011 in those Finals, did we say it was his significant other that caused him to not succeed, or last year with Steph Curry, was it Steph Curry’s wife, when he didn’t play up to standard? No, this Kardashian shaming is because she’s an easy target. And I don’t know her or her family, but I do know this: She deserves an apology for anybody who participated in that type of debate.”
Tami Roman was not here for Gundy’s comments. In fact, she wasn’t happy that Khloe was being compared to black and very married WAGS who don’t share Khloe’s reputation (read tweets from bottom to top):

Khloe is a white woman at the end of the day. So she will always be defended whereas I’m sure this same announcer didn’t say sh-t when Ayesha was blamed for Steph losing last year.
He’s actually pretending Ayesha’s head wasn’t placed on a stake last season. After those tweets, she most certainly was blamed for Steph losing and not playing well.
I rolled my eyes when he said that. Khloe has been with multiple athletes. Comparing her to Ayesha and Savannah, women who have been with their husbands since high school is ridiculous. Meanwhile Khloe has made screwing athletes a career and means to staying relevant.

Tristan’s scrub a-s has one good game this series, and now they’re erasing her hoeness? Man talk about having the complexion for protection.
But actual athletes have said she hurt their careers. I think they’re in the right position to know better than anyone else.
This is one of the few times I have to agree with Tami. And race is definitely a factor. It’s the same reason Kim was able to get on the cover of Vogue. These women keep getting passes for things black women could never get away with. Amber Rose too.
I see nothing but facts were tweeted by Tami. The Kardashians get a lot of second chances. But these black athletes need to smarten up because they’re the reason they have been able to remain relevant as long as they have. There’s always some fool ready to keep them in the spotlight. Tristan is a clown.
