Tamar Braxton dropped by Atlanta radio station V-103 last night to promote her performance in the city and chop it up about her standings with Tiny Harris and Toya Wright.
The R&B singer and reality star said a mouthful too.
Here’s what she had to say when Big Tigger asked her about calling Toya “Paperback Toya” amid issuing a public apology to Tiny:
Sorry about that. I mean what do you want me to do?
The whole thing came about because the day before it was Logan’s birthday and I got tagged on a happy birthday to Logan from Tiny which is Logan’s god mom. And Tip was saying on the Instagram that me and Tiny need to stop being divas and make up, right? And I just thought it was the sweetest gesture, ever. And that’s why I decided to send a public apology to my dearest friend Tiny on the planet because I feel like they made an attempt to extend an olive branch.
I wasn’t trying to hurt anybody definitely. I’m never trying to hurt anybody but I wanted to just state the facts.
It’s just been a lot of speculations that because Tiny and I had a friendship falling out…it wasn’t about what people have been saying. It wasn’t about that show. And it wasn’t about the things that Toya was saying. She’s been going on media tours and wrote a book about how she felt I was a horrible friend. That was hurtful to me because that was the first time I’ve seen it. It was on a radio station. I didn’t know that we weren’t friends.
And I never want anybody to think I’m trying to hold them back. I’m not that kind of girl. I don’t even think like that.
So when I was on that show, she never reached out to me and said she wanted to be on the show. Now I’m not the talent booker. I’m the talent. I have absolutely no pull or power on who comes on the show. That’s just how it goes.
Come to find out, she got upset because I didn’t post her last book but I don’t have to tell you Tigger, they don’t want you to tweet about or Instagram about certain things. That’s in your contract. Especially when you work for a corporation. So you have to run certain things by them. They didn’t really dig it. I told her what they said. I guess she didn’t believe me or want to believe me.
Toya if you’re listening baby, I have absolutely no reason to stop you from getting your shine on. I want you to win. I love you. You know, I love Reginae. I love the whole clique. I want everybody to win. I have absolutely no reason to hold anyone back. I am blessed beyond measure.
And for me not to extend those blessings to my friends, which I do, that would be horrible for me. I’m not even that kind of person.
Tamar also revealed that she thinks it’s uncool for Toya to paint her out to be a phony friend when she’s done a lot for her in the past:
That was hurtful. It’s hurtful. It was all hurtful. It was a nice gesture that I went to her brothers’ funeral and that I basically economically made sure all her friends were there. So that was hurtful. And it’s also hurtful to feel that your friends think a certain way about you behind your back.

From what I’m gathering, Toya basically got mad because she felt was she was entitled to Tamar promoting her books but Tamar couldn’t contractually do so, so Toy started being shady.
I still think Tamar is a petty betty but it sounds like Toya is the fake friend. How do you end a friendship over something like that? Now if Tamar was the one did what Toya did, the whole internet would collectively drag her. It’s amazing how Toya and her bratty daughter get so many passes for their f-cked up personalities but Tamar gets dragged for every damn thing.
Well Toya did do a whole media tour and wrote a book about Tamar. I mean Tamar could have said much worse than Paperback Toya but she hasn’t and probably won’t. Meanwhile Toya called her everything but a child of God over not promoting her book or booking her on The Real. Something is very wrong about that.
Their beef is dumb.
Toya sounds like a snake. If you hold me down for my brothers funeral, I’m not going to cut you off because you’re not able to get me on your talk show. Why was it that serious for her?
If Toya felt some type of way about not being on The Real, why didn’t she just call Tamar up and talk it out? To turn around and write about her in her book and do interviews about it instead is messed up. But I know a lot of people don’t want to admit that because we’re all used to Tamar being the problem.
Bye Tamar. A victim she is not.
Neither is Toya. LOL.
Hearing all of this, you wonder why Toya took it as far as she did with that Instagram post. I feel like their issue could have been worked out. It’s minor.
I think Toya overreacted and blew everything out of proportion.
I remember when Tamar rode for Toya when all the K Michelle and Love & Hip Hop stuff happened. And riding with Toya is exactly why K and Tamar started beefing. So for Toya to get stank and vindictive about Tamar not promoting her damn books on the gram is absolutely dumb to me.
