50 Cent Explains The Shade Thrown at Jay-Z’s 4:44 Album

Vlad TV is reporting that 50 Cent has strong feelings about Jay-Z’s “4:44,” saying that the album is too smart for today’s hip hop fan.

Regarding the album, 50 said the following on Instagram recently:

“I thought the sh*t was aight, I liked the sh*t but imma keep it 100, the sh*t was a little too smart. I felt like I was supposed to be wearing glasses and sh*t, like a fu**ing sweater around my waist. It was like Ivy league sh*t.”

Even when he was asked about this statement, 50 Cent didn’t back away from it.

50 Cent explains to Celebrity Page TV:

Hip Hop culture is youth culture. Say it again; [Jay-Z is] 47 years old. When you’re there, there’s no way you can be the actual best guy in it. There’s no way. Our competitiveness is how we got as far as we did to this day. Jay is super competitive. He wants to be the number one guy. In hip hop culture. It’s the only way you stay in it like that. If you don’t wanna be number 1, you get out of it.

Hip Hop cats now-a-days are not living more rock star vibe or energy. You can see it’s visible.

You hear “All my friends are dead, push me to the edge,” Lil Uzi Vert and them are writing rock songs.

  1. Mind your business 50. Just because no one is checking for your music doesn’t mean Jay can’t make albums when he feels good and ready.

  2. His comment should be offensive to those who are apart of the hip hop culture. He’s basically saying their ignorant and unable to understand music that’s not dumbed down. Maybe that’s his reality that he’s projecting on some of the hip hop audience. Clearly there are some who fit his description but, most definitely not everyone fits this category.
