Evelyn breaks down after her argument with Tami.
The episode opens with Evelyn and Tami arguing at Shaunie’s sit-down. During the argument, Tami said Evelyn lied about her domestic violence incident with Chad. They pick up where they left off last week when Tami accused Evelyn of lying about her ex assaulting her.
The two women continue hurling insults until Evelyn decides she had enough.
Evelyn gets up to leave Shaunie’s sit-down, but is followed by Tami and everyone one else. When they’re all outside, Evelyn and Tami go back and forth again. Evelyn wants an apology, which Tami isn’t willing to give.
“At the end of the day, [Shaunie and I] are the only victims here.” – Evelyn
Shaunie says she’s speechless and can’t understand why Tami would say anything like that. When Tami leaves, Evelyn begins to break down crying about it.
She’s furious that Tami would accuse her of lying. Evelyn’s tears continue flowing as she points out an everlasting reminder of that night.
“I have a scar on my forehead for the rest of my life because of that bulls***.” – Evelyn
Everyone else is in shock of what Tami said, and even Jackie has empathy for what Evelyn is dealing with. Eventually, Evelyn leaves the scene. Jennifer follows Evelyn into the bathroom, lending an ear to Evelyn. Although Jennifer was involved with of the rumor about Shaunie’s ex, Evelyn still considers her a friend.
Everyone recaps Evelyn’s and Tami’s explosive back and forth.
The next day, Jackie and Malaysia are hanging out shopping and recapping Shaunie’s ponderosa with one another, including Evelyn and Tami’s argument. They understand that the argument with Evelyn and Tami was devastating. Even Jackie feels what Tami said to Evelyn was way out of line.
Malaysia also distrusts Jennifer after all of this. She also wants Cece and Kristen to have a sit-down and resolve their issues. So she sets up a sit-down, inviting Jackie to the event.
At Evelyn’s apartment, Evelyn and Jennifer are hanging out. Evelyn calls Tami the most miserable human being she ever met. She’s still very angry Tami called her a liar about her domestic violence incident. A teary-eyed Evelyn then recalls what happened, and how they were heading to the supermarket.
Evelyn gets teary-eyed as she tells Jennifer her play-by-play. She’s also empowered to help other women that were domestic violence victims. So she wants to plan a fund-raiser for a DV non-profit.
“You know, I want to do things that feed my soul.” – Evelyn
Jennifer crashes Malaysia’s sit-down between Cece and Kristen.
Malaysia and Jackie host her sit-down with Cece and Kristen at a local restaurant. Jennifer shows up with Kristen, which irks Cece.
Malaysia side-eyes this too, and wants Jennifer to sit at the table quietly.
“Jennifer is really not a nice person, and she better keep her mouth shut.” – Malaysia
Cece begins the conversation, saying that she and Kristen have been growing distant since the wig party. Kristen brings up how Cece tried to drag all of them at the party, saying how all of the other ladies don’t have jobs.
Cece then makes a crack at Evelyn and Jennifer, calling them dumb.
“I was sick of twiddle dumb and twiddle dumber who can’t apologize.” – Cece
That quickly angered Jennifer and brought her into the conversation. This leads to another back and forth between Cece and Jennifer. Jennifer is still adamant about not spreading the rumor. But Cece points out that Jenn actually just spreaded about rumor about Evelyn. She tells Cece to mind her business.
“You need to mind your motherf***ing business.” – Jennifer
After Malaysia gets everyone back on track, Jennifer brings up how Kristen told her she isn’t really close friends with Cece. That angered Cece and surprised Kristen. Kristen tries to backtrack Jennifer’s statement, and Malaysia’s over everything. She really wishes Kristen didn’t being Jennifer around for this very reason.
Evelyn hangs out with her friend Michelle Game. She was once engaged to former NBA player Charlie Villanueva. Evelyn and Michelle met while working out and became good friends.
Michelle’s gives Evelyn her ear, and she tells Michelle into what happened with her and Tami. This news shocks Michelle who strongly feels that Tami crossed the line.
“Saying something like that is like saying you deserved that.” – Michelle
Michelle then shared her own domestic abuse story. She praises Evelyn for not going back to her abuser after everything went down. Evelyn invites Michelle to her fund-raiser event. Michelle asks who’s showing up and Evelyn says that Tami will not be invited.
“I hope I didn’t run her out of here.” – Jennifer
OG’s squarely on Tami’s side.
Tami invites OG to shop and to school her about her retreat. Tami tells OG her side of the story, which includes how Jennifer told her about the rumor. OG supports Tami, saying that Evelyn isn’t happy.
“You know what they say… Hating hoes ain’t happy, and happy hoes ain’t hating.” – OG
Later on, OG tells Tami how she’s struggling in her long-distance relationship with her boyfriend Kwame. Tami warns her to handle her business in the relationship, so she won’t make the same mistake Tami made.
“If you have any weak links, you end up with Evelyn sleeping with Kenny.” – Tami
Jackie and Cece hang out in Cece’s backyard, recapping their sit-down with Kristen. Cece’s mad that Kristen brought Jennifer to the sit-down. She also feels that Jennifer’s causing the rift between her and Kristen.
As Kristen and Jennifer grow closer, it’s furthering a rift between Cece and Kristen, says Cece. Cece then gets upset, wondering why Kristen chose Evelyn and Jennifer over her.
“If you’re gonna pick sides, wouldn’t you picks sides with family?” – Cece
OG and Tami have their double date.
Next, Jackie schools Cece with the argument between Evelyn and Tami. Cece’s jaw dropped when Jackie tells her what Tami said to Evelyn. Jackie wants to talk to Tami about what she said.
Reggie and Tami meet up with Kwame and OG at their double date.
Tami takes another shot at OG’s looks in her green screen interview. She says Kwame is handsome so she’s surprised he’s with OG.
During their date, Kwame tells Tami how they met, and flew OG out to see him when he played in Europe.
Kwame reveals that they’re having fun as a couple, and Tami asks him if there’s any infidelity. OG reveals that Kwame’s been loose with Instagram likes and DMs. Tami says she needs to be careful if she’s thinking about marriage.
OG says that Kwame isn’t ready to get married.
“I know he’s the marrying type, then he has to want it.” – OG
Shaunie keeps her word, leaving Evelyn’s event when Jennifer arrives.
It’s the night of Evelyn’s event with Giuseppe Zanotti. 15% of the store’s proceeds will go to her foundation. Kristen meets Evelyn and Shaunie at the event, and Shaunie tells her about Jennifer’s antics. Shaunie still doesn’t want to be around her.
This gives Kristen pause about Jennifer. She’s not sure if Jennifer’s worth being friendly to.
“This entire thing is a s*** show.” – Kristen
Michelle Game shows up and she’s introduced to Shaunie and Kristen. Shaunie’s mood changed when Jennifer called, saying she’s on her way. As a result, Shaunie decides to leave.
“I choose not to be around all of that negative energy in my space.” – Shaunie
When Shaunie leaves, Jennifer arrives a short time later. Jennifer asks if she’s the reason Shaunie left. No one answers the question. She then tells Evelyn that she has receipts for Shaunie too that would clear her name.
“People need to check their phones before they start to talk s***.” – Jennifer
Evelyn wants Jennifer and Shaunie to have a sit-down and wants to still be friendly with both of them.
Jackie confronts Tami.
Finally, Jackie has a sit-down with Tami. Tami reveals she felt ambushed by seeing Jackie and Evelyn at the ponderosa. She also revealed she’s diabetic, and felt some type of way about Evelyn shading her about her weight, and walk. Tami’s dealing with diabetic nerve pain in her feet.
Jackie tried to call Evelyn to the carpet for her comments about Evelyn, but Tami was prepared.
“So you’re captain save-a-ho today?” – Tami
Jackie’s then shocked to learn from Tami that Tami’s a domestic abuse survivor. Tami finally tells Jackie her proof into what she said to Evelyn. Tami claims she and Evelyn were talking and Evelyn told Tami that Chad’s head butt was an accident. That shocks Jackie.
Tami then says she only pressed charges because Evelyn’s neighbor saw them. She starts crying and says that she was never accepted by the other women.
“Ever since I’ve known them girls, they always talked about me.” – Tami
Jackie backtracks from her position because she sees Tami upset, and apologizes.
“You got a friend for life in me.” – Jackie
The episode ends with Tami throwing back-handed shade at Evelyn.
“Maybe I shouldn’t have said it. Throwing her truth in her face.” – Tami
