Toya Wright knows firsthand that being romantically involved with a rapper can come with a host of problems.
So she worries that her 19 year old daughter Reginae will make the same mistakes. YFN Lucci and Reginae Carter are currently dating and lots of people have been critical of the relationship.
In a preview of “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle,” Toya expressed her concerns to Reginae.
Here’s what Toya had to say about YFN Lucci and Reginae Carter:
I don’t like the age difference. I don’t like the fact that he has four kids. Are you trying to be a step mama?
You know how I feel about the whole rapper thing. You know I dated your daddy when I was younger than that. And it’s a whole lot that comes with that lifestyle and that’s the last thing I want or any mother want.
Toya goes on to tell Reginae that it’s not that she has a problem with Regina going out, but she doesn’t want her to get caught up in any situation that could hurt her image.
Reginae says she goes out with YFN Lucci to a lot of places because she invites herself.
But Toya says that when she was with Lil Wayne, she still never went to after parties. She was still selective in where she did go and she feels Reginae is not.
This is when Reginae tells Toya that she’s boring.
We’re super different, mom. I love a concert. I love going out. You’re boring, mom.
While Toya disagrees that she’s boring, Reginae thinks Toya should take notice that Lucci doesn’t try to leave her at home.
All of these other rappers, they’re leaving their girlfriend at home.
