Imani’s sister is coming to visit at the end of the week.
She’s really stressed out because she doesn’t know how things will go even though they’ve had a positive FaceTime session.
Regardless, she’s glad to finally be meeting her in person.
Her sister Jasmine has a son that’s close in age to Imani’s son. So she’s also hoping the cousins will get to meet.
With Imani having a strong personality, she’s hoping they won’t have tension.
The blowup with Robert is still fresh on Shanique’s mind.
Shanique meets Jazmin for a bite to eat.
She vents about her recent blowup with Robert. Things have gotten really overwhelming, but she feels like Robert pushing her to quit her job was insensitive.
At this moment, she feels like the people closet to her aren’t listening.
This makes her emotional and she sheds a couple of tears.
Although Robert’s career is clearly life or death, she wishes he would respect that she’s been in real estate for 16 years.
Jazmin says that Shanique has a right to express herself when it comes to her frustrations as a wife and mother.
Asha thought she was pregnant.
She meets up with Noelle for workout.
After they wrap up and get a bit to eat, she explains that she just got her period.
It’s disappointing because she thought she was pregnant.
Noelle tells Asha not to worry because it usually takes couples several months to conceive.
Regardless, Noelle stresses that Asha shouldn’t stress out because it could make things harder.
Britten got a new job at a hospital in Los Angeles.
She tells Mack that it’s her dream job because she doesn’t work on weekends. But the job doesn’t start next year.
With Britten not finding a house in time, Mack tells her that she should move back to Orlando.
“It’s not about me, it’s about the family.” – Mack
The couple will continue to look for a house in LA while she’s back in Orlando.
Imani meets her sister Jasmine and nephew Tyson.
The family members meet up at a restaurant and give emotional hugs.
Jasmine says she’s been praying for the moment forever and she’s so excited because it’s very therapeutic for her.
When Jasmine says that their dad told her that Imani is a lot like Jasmine personalty wise, Imani reveals in a green screen interview her dad remembering her as a little girl gives her hope about their relationship.
Robert tries to make things right.
Since Shanique is still upset with him, Robert tries to surprise her by cooking dinner.
He’s making lasagna.
When Shanique gets home, she’s greeted by Robert and the kids. They are dressed up and hand her some flowers.
After the kids leave them alone to eat dinner in the backyard, Robert and Shanique hash things out.
“I know I’ve been kind of a jerk.” – Robert
He apologizes for not hearing her out and not seeing how much her career means to her.
Plus, life is short and he doesn’t want to waste time being at odds.
Imani’s sister Jasmine comes over.
She meets Imani’s husband Phil and her son Idris.
Idris is happy to meet his cousin Tyson.
Imani is happy that everyone is getting along.
All the women reunite for Imani’s party.
She has it at a restaurant on the rooftop.
Before all the women arrive, Britten tells Imani she got a job. But she’s going to move back to Orlando until her new job starts. To no surprise, Mack is really happy about this.
Jazmin arrives with her husband’s sister Ashanti.
She meets Noelle and Noelle says in her green screen interview she’s not surprised that she still hasn’t met Jazmin’s husband.
When Imani and Jazmin spot each other, they give each other a hug.
In a green screen interview, Jazmin says that she’s ready to let go of her beef with Imani.
“The only thing I can do is send out love. But if she talks sh*t about my husband again, it’s about to be a fight.” – Jazmin
Asha isn’t exactly enthusiastic to see Shanique there.
In a green screen interview, Asha says she won’t be trusting Shanique anytime soon.
Shanique feels like she can move forward because she’s apologized to Asha multiple times.
“She’s not worthy of my time.” – Shanique
Britten makes an announcement.
When Imani gets on the stage to thank everyone for coming out, Imani and Asha invite Britten on the stage.
They thank her for making them come together and giving them the thoughtful dog tags.
She’s gifted one that reads Sergeant Switzerland.
Britten also takes the mic and tells them she got a new job but she’s heading to Orlando to stay until it starts.
Although they are disappointed she will be gone for a while, they are happy she will be back.
All the women get together and take group photos as they laugh.
