Ryan has good news.
Phor comes by the new 9Mag.
Ryan tells him that Steve Harvey’s team reached out. He was touched by Phor’s openness about battling depression.
So he invited Ryan and Phor to come on the show and talk about it.
“I’m kind of speechless, honestly.” – Ryan
Phor is excited but he’s nervous at the same time. Speaking about depression in front of a big audience and becoming a spokesperson for mental illness terrifies him.
But Ryan tells Phor that going on the show may help someone else.
“You get to show the world how strong you are.” – Ryan
Phor agrees to do the show. They will make their way to Los Angeles.
Lily tells her side.
Later on at the old 9Mag, Don and Van tell Phor they are proud of him.
Going on Steve Harvey’s show is a big deal.
They then discuss the drama at the convention.
Lily and Adriana going at it was a bad look.
Van feels like Lily is the common denominator.
“She’s run out of final straws.” – Van
Minutes later, Lily walks in.
They bring up what happened at the convention and Phor decides to see his way out.
Lily says that Adriana tried to sneak her and ended up on the floor.
And she didn’t react before when Adriana threw a drink on her. But the sneak attack was the last straw.
Don and Van tell her this was a bad look for 9Mag.
Van and Ryan fire Lily.
Lily reminds them that she didn’t do the convention with 9Mag. She didn’t even have a shirt on. So it shouldn’t embarrass the group.
“Sometimes it’s best just to walk away.” – Van
Ryan walks in and tells Lily that 9Mag was banned from future conventions
Although Lily once again says she didn’t start the drama, Ryan says it doesn’t matter. She needs to stop trying to be a tough guy and let things go.
Since Lily doesn’t think she’s the cause of it, she says doesn’t see why anyone is upset with her.
Ryan goes off on her and says she’s always getting caught up in drama.
Lily says she’s not leaving the shop until she wants to quit. Van tells her she’s fired.
Lily asks Ryan if he’s okay with that and Ryan says she can’t work there anymore.
So Lily leaves.
Ryan and Phor make it to LA.
As they drive around, Phor asks Ryan when is the last time he spoke to Kat.
He says it’s been a while.
But he’s proud that she opened her own shop in LA.
He’s open to seeing her before they leave to return to Chicago.
Charmaine is thinking about getting her old job back.
Things are doing good since she left 9Mag.
Her radio show is going great and The Shade Room hired her to host a digital show.
But she is thinking about returning to the shop.
Neek thinks this isn’t a smart thing to do. But Charmaine thinks that things will be better since Lily was fired.
In a green screen interview, Neek says that he’s been wanting to propose to Charmaine but it’s never a good time because of 9Mag.
He tells her to make her decision soon, hinting that he’s possibly giving her an ultimatum. If she goes back, he may move on.
Lily wants a family.
Bella meets up with Lily at a bar.
Lily says she’s done trying to make things work at 9Mag.
But she’s now focused on having kids.
She had surgery years ago after a tumor was found. She lost her right ovary and tube.
So she is going to go to the doctor to see if she can still get pregnant. Bella will go with her.
Ryan hangs out with Apryl Jones.
She’s also from Chicago and she’s now living in Los Angeles.
They are friends and Ryan even appeared in her music video as her love interest.
She asks if he’s still with Rachel. He says they are cool but they aren’t together anymore. Ryan caused the breakup.
Apryl says she understands and she’s hoping her and Omarion can be friends again at some point.
Ryan asks Apryl if she’s single.
She says yes and Lil Fizz has been there for her. And she stresses that Fizz and Omarion are not friends. They just do business together.
People think Apryl and Ryan have slept together. It hasn’t and Apryl doesn’t rule out it happening in the future.
Neek teaches Charmaine a lesson.
When Charmaine arrives at her place, she finds out Neek has moved out all his things.
He took everything, including the dogs.
She calls her dad to vent.
And he tells her that she’s going to have to figure things out on her own.
Minutes later, Neek returns and tells her that he didn’t like that she made a decision about 9Mag without talking to him.
So he’s leaving her.
As Charmaine gets upset, Neek then starts laughing.
He says he just wanted to show her what it feels like to make a decision without consulting him. That’s something they can’t do when they get married
However, he understands that 9Mag is her family. He supports her decision to go back.
He also tells her that all their things are in an upgraded three-bedroom apartment.
Lily visits the doctor with Bella.
The doctor tells her she can still get pregnant since she has one ovary left.
But she finds a two-centimeter cyst on her left ovary.
Lily then kicks the camera crew out.
Ryan and Phor visit the Steve Harvey Show.
Backstage, Phor thanks Ryan for always being there for him.
They’ve known each other since their high school days.
Ryan doesn’t have any biological brothers, so he’s thankful to have Don and Phor in his life.
The interview goes well. And Phor is thankful Ryan was there to support him.
