Jennifer is still in the hot seat.
Shaunie, Kristen, Evelyn, and Malaysia head out to check on the progress of Shaunie’s weed dispensary. As they are en route, they discuss the picture Evelyn and Malaysia took with Jennifer at her charity event. Both feel like it was shady for Jennifer to have their picture taken. It’s been posted on social media and people think all the women are on good terms. So Evelyn says they should re-post the picture and edit Jennifer out of the photo.
When they get to the facility, Shaunie says she’s also in the process of opening up a boutique hotel in Costa Rica. So she wants to have a girls trip there so they can all bond. But she wants to invite Jackie. This makes Kristen, Evelyn, and Malaysia side-eye her. OG will also be invited although Evelyn isn’t a fan. So will CeCe. This, of course, makes Kristen uncomfortable. Feby will be the last one to secure an invite because Evelyn, Shaunie, and Malaysia don’t want Jennifer to be there.
Byron wants CeCe to put her health first.
CeCe and Byron go on a date. They discuss CeCe’s health scare. She still needs to get a biopsy to make sure she doesn’t have cancer. Byron urges her to stop putting this off because his mother died from cancer. She hated going to the doctor and when she finally went, it was too late. CeCe says she doesn’t want to go because she’s afraid she could have cancer and become a burden on Byron. But he assures her he’ll have her back in sickness and health.
OG is working on her retirement party. She’s inviting everyone except Feby and Evelyn. She’s working with her boyfriend Kwame and event planner to set everything up in the venue. Hours later after the party starts, Jennifer arrives. And she sees immediately that a lot of people did not show up. Jackie walks in not too long after. Jennifer gifts Jackie with a rose gold plate with her deceased mother’s name. This brings Jackie to tears and they hug.
OG feels like an outsider.
Jackie and Jennifer discuss Malaysia cropping her out of the photo they took at her charity event. In a green screen interview, Jennifer says Malaysia is being childish. And Malaysia came into her event acting like they were cool. Jackie understands because she feels like Malaysia has been acting petty lately. As OG makes her grand entrance, Jackie wonders why none of the other women from the group are there.
Despite the other women failing to show up, OG has a great time at her Nigerian-themed retirement party. Jackie feels a type of way about the others not showing up. OG’s disappointed that they didn’t show up as well. Her mood changes when Kwame pulls her aside and suggests they work on buying a house together. Having Kwame’s support at the end is all OG says she cares about.
Meanwhile, Evelyn and Feby are talking while they are out shopping for bikinis and OG is the topic of their conversation. Evelyn tells Feby that she doesn’t mess with OG and revealed that Jackie knows about all of the shady things Feby said about Jackie. Feby tells Evelyn that someone on Twitter asked if she was Chad’s ex and she simply replied he’s a homie on a video Chad retweeted. The video was a clip of OG twerking after making a tackle. Evelyn responds by calling OG a thirsty groupie.
Tami gives OG some advice.
Speaking of OG, she goes to visit Tami on a studio set. OG tells Tami only Jackie and Jennifer showed up to the event and Evelyn is still talking mess about her. Tami tells OG she held her own and they’ll respect her at some point. So she needs to stay true to herself. As for Tami, she still doesn’t want to come around Evelyn or anyone else and doesn’t want to be involved with any drama with them. OG still wants to give the women a chance.
Later on, Jackie’s recording her podcast and she was interviewing Jason Lee. The interview went well and afterwards, Shaunie stops in and they talk about the no shows at OG’s retirement event. Shaunie brings up that they haven’t bonded together and it doesn’t help that she keeps threatening violence during arguments. So Shaunie wants OG to come to Costa Rica with them. However, Jennifer’s not invited, yet as Shaunie’s still uncomfortable with having her around.
While they talk, CeCe calls OG for support. CeCe’s going to the doctor for her bioscopy and she’s really nervous about it. OG strongly believes everything will be okay. When the call’s done, OG and Kwame are out house hunting. While in one house, OG grills Kwame about a plan for marriage and children. Kwame eases her nerves when he gives her an actual timeline to make these things happen.
Tami makes her exit.
Meanwhile, Tami’s in the studio recording a video for her Tatiana Trill moniker with Jazz helping out. Through this whole process, Tami came to the realization it’s time to move on from the girls. She recaps her time on the on the show. The good, the bad, and the ugly times. She says it’s the end of her time on “Basketball Wives” and walks away from her green screen interview.
Former NBA player Brandon Jennings hosts a wine tasting and the entire cast shows up. Things get tense when Jackie tells Jennifer that Shaunie doesn’t want to invite her on the Costa Rica trip. This irritates Jennifer even further and she brings up Malaysia cropping her out of a photo from the event. Shaunie shows up with Evelyn and Malaysia and Jennifer’s invitation getting lost in the mail is a topic. Jackie told Shaunie about this and this irritates Shaunie.
Jennifer learns the truth.
The topic turns to Malaysia cropping Jennifer out a pic. Jennifer says she didn’t have control of the photo getting out. Evelyn then brings up Jennifer not fully owning up to talking about Shanice. Things devolve when Jennifer says she didn’t say those things about Shanice and she doesn’t have an issue with anyone. So she leaves with her friend Dominique and decides she’s fine not going to Costa Rica. When Jennifer leaves, Shaunie says she’s moving on away from Jennifer. Next, Evelyn and OG argue over the Toe-Gee joke made by Evelyn. It was only a joke according to Evelyn and she wants OG to loosen up.
Things get worse when OG compares Jennifer talking about Shanice to Evelyn talking about her toes. The two women argue before agreeing that they won’t have a friendship.
