Past actions have made Jhonni Blaze rethink things.

Jhonni Blaze had some explosive moments on “Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta.” At times, her anger has been about her music career. She didn’t feel like she was where she wanted to be. So she hoped that working with Deb Antney would change things. However, they clashed. And Jhonni slammed Deb on social media before she walked away from the show.

Now she’s back for the current season.

She wants Deb to understand that she’s no longer the person she used to be. On a preview for the upcoming episode, Jhonni wants to make it clear that she understands that she handled things wrong when Deb was her manager.

During a conversation with Deb, Jhonni says, “Quarantine has changed my life because you analyze more things when you’re home. And you actually get to know yourself more. And I got tired of battling depression, anxiety and those are two things that I battle with.”

She continued, “And it was just anger blaming others for me not being successful.”

Jhonni Blaze addresses her past attitude.

They also discuss their blowup in Jamaica.

“Yes, I’m owning up to that. It’s my attitude and I understand why people won’t take to me. And it’s embarrassing and I know you know it’s embarrassing.”

Jhonni has had to ask herself if she wants to continue down the same path.

“And it’s like do you really want to continue being like that?”

She goes on to tell Deb that she realizes that she has gotten in her own way. So Jhonni no longer wants to sabotage her own career.

As for Deb, she believes that Jhonni seeing her actions play out on the show was just what she needed.

“See, Jhonni got to see the man in the mirror. And she didn’t like the way that looked.”
