It’s mid-March in St. Joe’s and Covid-19 is getting ready to shut down everything on the latest episode of “Queen Sugar.” Before things shut down, Darla’s preparing for a wedding and received an opportunity to advance at her job. Charley gives her advice and Ralph Angel is there for support.
Charley and Davis also show up to Xavier and support Micah, who surprises them during a probate ceremony for a fraternity. Although Charley’s shocked to see Micah pledge, she respects his decision. Hollywood also is prepared to open up his new gathering spot for the men in the county. He also celebrates the impending opening with Aunt Vi as they reminisce on their first date.
However, everything comes to a halt when Charley and other county officials learn Covid-19 is in the US and Louisiana. Charley lets Aunt Vi know that her restaurant will have to shut down for a few weeks.
