LisaRaye returned to “Fix My Life.”
Even though LisaRaye McCoy felt like some progress was made with her family on “Fix My Life,” she had some more issues she wanted to tackle with Iyanla on her own. In fact, she told Iyanla that as of late, she has been struggling. And her recent and very public blowup with Da Brat was a hard moment for her as well. So she was hoping that Iyanla could help her get to the bottom of things. And equip her with the tools to move forward.
On the recent episode of “Fix My Life,” Iyanla told LisaRaye that her mother and daughter felt like she isn’t always there for them when they need her.
Iyanla said, “Your mom feels that once you made it, ‘went Hollywood,’ as she said, that you weren’t there for her. Your daughter feels that at the moment that she really needed you that you weren’t there for her.”
Iyanla Vanzant wasn’t having it.
This bothered LisaRaye. And in response to this, she said, “So I’m supposed to break my neck and be wherever I’m supposed to be when everybody else wants me to be there?”
At this point, Iyanla was fed up, “Are you aware of what you just did?” LisaRaye answers with, “I’m asking you a question.”
But Iyanla stood firm, “And I’m asking you one. Since you came to see me. I’m asking the question. Are you aware of what you just did?”
She continued, “I’m seeing the same message. And what you say to me is, ‘Are you telling me that I’m supposed to blah, blah, blah?’ You take the pieces out that you want to deal with, which is resistance. And I’m very, very clear. You ain’t present anywhere in your life. And that’s what people feel.”
Iyanla concluded with, “But more important than not being present in your life, you ain’t present for you! The lights are on and nobody’s home.”
Even though it was a little tension at this moment, LisaRaye received everything Iyanla had to say. And by the end of the episode, LisaRaye was clear about the things she needs to work on and how to tap into her heart and inner power. She also figured out the best way to move forward with her relationships with her mother and daughter.
