NeNe Leakes’ lawsuit followed a controversial departure from RHOA.
When it comes to “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” two stars had a very dramatic departure. Phaedra Parks was put on blast for lying on Kandi Burruss. Porsha Williams said it was Phaedra who told her that Kandi and Todd Tucker wanted to drug and r*pe her. After all of this was exposed at the Season 9 reunion, Kandi decided she could no longer be around Phaedra. Porsha felt used. And she began to question their friendship. In the end, the situation was way too messy. The other women refused to film any scenes with Phaedra. So she was not asked back for the following season.
NeNe Leakes departed the show after she accused the other women of ganging up on her. She also accused executives of treating her unfairly behind the scenes. And she said that she wasn’t given the same perks as her non-black peers. She has since sued Bravo, Andy Cohen, and others for racial discrimination. So many fans believe this means the door is officially closed on NeNe’s return to RHOA in the near future.
Interestingly enough, there has been a lot of talk about the current season. One of the biggest changes made was Marlo Hampton securing a peach. Sheree Whitfield was brought back. Drew Sidora was given a second season. Sanya Richards-Ross is the newbie. And Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore are also main cast members.
While some fans have been happy with the season, some are still missing their favorites who are no longer on the show. And NeNe threw a little shade recently.

I always rooted for NeNe but her and her stans don’t realize her cockiness, bitterness, and lack of humility got her to this point. She’s stopping her own blessings.
Confidence > arrogance. Secure people don’t tear down others to lift themselves up. I want NeNe to become a better person. It’s been time.

I’ll never discredit how important she was to RHOA but she’s really going out sad.
