The Whitlows left early.
The episode begins with Dr. Francis lecturing Maurice about demanding *** while not fully acknowledging Kimmi as a person and helping her around the house. Maurice, luckily, sees what Dr. Francis is saying. However, in his interview, jokes about the interaction.
The next day at the retreat, Louis and Tiffany are not present. They left the night before and Tiffany left a message for LaTisha about their departure. Apparently, Tiffany had an engagement in Birmingham. Dr. Francis learns about this and lets it be known he’s quite worried about the Whitlows. He feels they left before obtaining all they need to improve their marriage.
Dr. Francis also notes that no one was being 100 percent honest. It’s a defensive mechanism practiced by them all to avoid conflict when they leave. But despite this, LaTisha feels this was a good trip overall.
Melody believes Martell and Melneka have a past.
Eventually, both Scott couples return to Huntsville. Kimmi uses her time back to catch up with Destiny. LaTisha joins them as Destiny doesn’t dish about her new boyfriend. Kimmi does her best to get information about him but she doesn’t budge.
Destiny says everyone will meet her boyfriend in due time. While they’re out, Kimmi reveals what Melody told her about Melneka and how she quit as her wedding planner. She also revealed that Melody believes Melneka and Martell were messing around.
Destiny doesn’t believe this.
Meanwhile, the fellas catch up with Louis at a pool hall. Marsau and Maurice joke about the time at the house as Martell walks in. Louis lets Martell know how Dr. Francis grilled him and Tiffany almost as soon as they walked in. Marsau appreciated how Dr. Francis grilled Louis for his lack of transparency. He felt it was payback. In his interview, Louis says he doesn’t believe he could take anything Dr. Francis says seriously.
Maurice says the trip and elements during it enlightened him regarding how he views and treats Kimmi.
Martell learns Wanda is still speaking about his children.
Melody stops by Martell’s house to deliver some serious news. However, the kids are happy to see their mom and dad hanging out. She lets Martell know Wanda posted on social media some shady items about her and their youngest child. Apparently, Wanda openly wondered if Martell is the father of Suga Mama. Melody lets Martell know Wanda was responding to comments Melody said on “The Nightcap with Carlos King.” Melody said on the show that LaTisha’s father was showing up in her DMs.
Martell and Melody are frustrated because Martell already told her once before to not speak about their children. Therefore, Martell wants Melody to confront Wanda about this.
Lastly, Melody invites Martell on her family vacation to Destin, Florida, and Martell happily accepts.
The next day, Destiny is at home with her son. She gets a call from her event planner regarding an event she’s setting up at Madonni. Miss Wanda will have her food truck at the event. More details also came out about Destiny’s boyfriend. He lives in St. Louis. He called to confirm Destiny received the plane tickets for the fight to see him.
Martell denies the rumors.
Meanwhile, Martell meets with the owners of The Wine Rack to have them taste his wine. Destiny shows up for support as the owners indulge. The Wine Rack owners are impressed with the blend.
While with Martell, Destiny lets Martell know about her event and her new boyfriend. Destiny actually reveals they’ve known each other for over 13 years and he reached out after learning about the divorce.
Regarding the invite, Martell asks if Melody is invited. Destiny didn’t invite Melody and they haven’t spoken since Kimmi’s Galentine’s dinner.
Lastly, Destiny passes the Information learned from Kimmi regarding Melody’s speculation about him and Melneka. Martell says he didn’t even look at another woman when he got married. He also says he knows Melneka’s husband. He’s frustrated about hearing this rumor. Despite this, he’s not going to “take the bait,” regarding responding to Melody.
