Meanwhile, Aunt Vi’s impressed with Joaquin’s cooking as Ralph Angel and Darla come in for dinner. It’s at that moment the social worker comes in. The application to foster Ignacio’s children was denied. It’s due to Ralph Angel’s criminal past and the fact that he and Darla are living with Aunt Vi and Hollywood.
They plead their case to the social worker and Ralph Angel offers to leave. The social worker says she will hold the paperwork until the following Monday to allow Ralph Angel and Darla to find a new place.
Darla’s assaulter calls and threatens her over the phone.

She bursts into tears as she goes off on Nova, pleading for the past to stay in the past.
Nova consoles her.
