Drake may be rekindling his romance with Rihanna, but it appears the rapper may have a beef brewing with Jay Z.

The other day a new track by Jay Electronica entitled “We Made It” hit the web, and it appears Jay Z decided to take shots at Drake in his verse.

Just to refresh your memory, Drake took some jabs at Jay Z first in his recent interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, and he said he feels like Jay Z raps way too much about art and it’s corny:

“It’s like Hov can’t drop bars these days without at least four art references. I would love to collect [art] at some point, but I think the whole Rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny.”

Jay Z fired back and raps:

Sorry Mrs. Drizzy for so much art talk/Silly me, rappin’ ’bout sh*t that I really bought / While these rappers rap about guns that they ain’t shot / And a bunch of other silly sh*t that they ain’t got

Drake hasn’t responded yet, but we fully expect him to.

Anyway, you can listen to Jay Electonica’s new track below:

  1. I can’t say I blame Jay Z for responding. I like Drake, but he has an annoying tendency of taking unnecessary shots at other rappers in interviews.

  2. When did Drake become the authority on what to rap about anyway? Then he had the nerve to come for Kanye and say his lyrics on Yeezus were wack, but did Drake not hear his last album? Drake can’t talk.

  3. First Kendrick Lamar and now Jay Z? What is Drake thinking? He can’t see either one of them when it comes to lyrics.

  4. Drake needs to learn to give a decent interview without coming for other rappers. He acts so catty. Ugh.

  5. Now I love me some Drizzy but he really doesn’t want it with Hov. And I thought he looked up to him, so I was shocked he said what he did. Maybe he’s feeling himself a little too much these days. Who knows…

  6. And this is why his reaction to Kendrick’s verse on “Control” didn’t sit too well with me. You can’t make comments about the longevity of his career and album sales in relation to yours, then turn around and diss someone that came before you….and has sold more albums than you. Had the nerve to say it was tacky and and whatnot then turn around and do something far worse? The pot just met the kettle. With his emotional a**…. Drake comes along and drops hot tracks, and I love his craft for the most part, but he…does….not…want it with Jay. Point blank and the period. And somewhere in my Compton, my boo Kendrick is unbothered.

  7. I really need for Drake to stop coming for people that are greater than him! He can’t out rap any of the people he’s trying to shade!
