NBA Free Agent and Basketball Wives LA star Gloria Govan’s ex-fiance Matt Barnes was interviewed by Power 105.1 FM’s Breakfast Club Monday Morning. Matt Barnes is in the New York City area making speaking rounds in area schools supporting an anti-bullying non-profit and is rumored to be considering signing to play for the Boston Celtics this upcoming season.
During the interview he was asked by the radio morning show if he felt his appearance on the Basketball Wives contributed to his break up with his fiance Gloria.
“Absolutely. There were things that I did to hurt [the relationship] previously… but opening up our relationship and our family up definitely put a strain on out situation.”
However, according to Matt, being involved with the show never distracted him while he was on the court.
Matt and Gloria are in the process of reconciling their relationship and Gloria is still currently on the second season of Basketball Wives LA. Matt, on the other hand is not participating in the popular reality show. The two broke off their engagement after the first season of Basketball Wives Miami and it was revealed on Twitter by rapper the Game that he and Gloria were romantically involved.
Although Matt Barnes is not appearing on any of the BBW LA episodes this season, he and Gloria getting back together was a topic of discussion during the season premiere last night.
