Willow Smith has always raised eyebrows with her outspoken personality and rather interesting fashion choices. And when it comes to the Smith kids, people seem to be real opinionated about how both Willow and Jaden are being raised. Willow’s life in the public eye became even more controversial when she began to pursue a singing career. She released her hot single “Whip My Hair,”  and immediately proved that she could have a pretty legitimate singing career in the music industry. However, many people just felt like the lyrics to the song were a little too grown for a child to be singing, and as a result, the criticism for Willow began to get louder. This was overwhelming for Willow, as she began to be attacked and a hot topic of debate on the social networks and blogs, something that can be hard for any child. And it just became even harder for Willow to deal with, as she even mentioned that she wishes she wasn’t famous at times.

These events have led to Willow’s on and off singing career. While she’ll appear to be getting back serious with her music, she then just suddenly takes a break from music and gets interested in another career such as ballet. Whispers suggest that Willow and Jaden’s careers could be causing stress on Will and Jada’s marriage, as both parents are alleged to not being able to agree with what’s best for their two children career wise.

Although it’s been rumored that Will and Jada are on the way to a divorce, the couple continues to deny the allegations.

And now, according to reports, Willow is becoming a problem and acting out thanks to the pressures of fame.

According to the National Enquirer:

WILL SMITH and Jada Pinkett’s 12-year-old daughter WILLOW is acting increasingly worrisome – and her troubling behavior is ringing alarm bells with her superstar parents.

Willow, who scored an instant hit with her 2010 music video “Whip My Hair,” was recently spotted looking like a homeless kid and wearing a jacket with “I Hate Everyone” scrawled on the back.

And as The ENQUIRER previously reported, she’s been posting disturbing messages on social media outlets. Now mental health experts agree her actions are a desperate cry for help.

“That jacket just screams for attention,” psychologist Terry Lyles told The ENQUIRER.

“It’s a garment tattoo that says Willow feels like an alien in this world. She feels misunderstood, like an outcast who is not truly being seen or heard.”

Willow has regularly turned to social media websites to bare her soul, expressing her dark feelings on a Tumblr blog, in Twitter messages and on Instagram accounts.

She’s written: “Being normal is ugly,” “I live in my own hell,” “I am on the brink,” “Life is pain,” and “I think my thoughts are trying to murder me.”

Willow – who covers Adele’s version of the James Bond movie theme “Skyfall” in a new video – has also gotten a fake tongue piercing, and she shaved her head before dying her hair green. Noted New York-based psychologist Dr. Judy Kuriansky said: “I do think Willow would benefit from therapy to sort out these feelings of angst and despair that appear to plague her.

Meanwhile, “Men in Black” star Will and Jada – who’ve pulled their 14-year marriage back from the brink of collapse – are arguing over how to raise their daughter, sources say.

“Jada thinks Willow is a brilliant artist in the making,” revealed a source. “She’s been scheduling time for her in the recording studio and is shuttling her to acting auditions.

“But Will feels Willow needs more structure and less showbiz.

“They had a massive blow-up after Willow’s latest fashion statement. Will demanded that Jada back his new rules for the girl, but Jada accused him of being an old fuddy-duddy who doesn’t understand his own kids.”

Another source added: “Willow’s behavior is clearly a cry for help. If Will and Jada can’t resolve their differences on how to raise her, Willow may well nosedive even further. She’s turned into a little girl lost.”

While these are just rumors for now, we do find the timing of this story pretty interesting. Especially since Jada recently expressed that she’s confident in their style of parenting. In a recent interview with People, Jada says she doesn’t think the traditional approach to parenting works. And she thinks it’s better that children aren’t dictated to, and that she’s proud to have a partnership with her kids:

“I think that old school style of ‘I’m your parent and I’m greater than you’ doesn’t work. What I establish with my children is a partnership.

We … communicate with our kids in a way that our message overpowers any other message that they get out there. We can’t control what our kids learn anymore. We have to inform them and have real conversations … and [create] that foundation of them feeling assured in themselves.

I think for our children … they feel like we really care and they come to us and go, ‘Mommy, I’m having this problem. And it’s like, ‘Okay, let’s figure this out together.’ And it empowers them.”

  1. That little girl is too grown! I hope they work everything out because I just think they, and when I say they I mean Jada, is letting her get away with too much. I don’t want to see this girl mix in with the wrong crowd. First it’s piercings, next drugs, next sex, and what else? They need to get it together and Jada needs to stop trying to be her friend and be a mother!

  2. I knew this child wouldn’t stand a chance. Kids don’t need partnerships, they need someone to be a PARENT. Jada is making a HUGE mistake.

  3. Jada kills me with all these interviews about her parenting style and her “perfect” marriage to Will. I think she gives interviews about the things she’s the most insecure about.
