The list of accomplishments has continued to grow for Steve Harvey as the comedian has proven that he can find success in other areas outside of comedy. After putting out successful relationship books, starring in movies and sitcoms and landing a gig as a talk show host, Stevie Harvey is now being recognized with one of the biggest honors that a celebrity can receive in the world of Hollywood. Steve Harvey was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this past Monday. And of those who helped him celebrate his big achievement were his fellow talk show buddies the hilarious Ellen DeGeneres and Dr. Phil McGraw, Ellen and Dr. Phil having some very nice things to say about Steve during the introductory remarks that they made about the entertainer. During his acceptance speech, Steve Harvey says that he would be nowhere had it not been for God’s grace:

“This is all by the grace of God.”

And Steve also thanked his wife Marjorie for all of her support and saving his life:

“The Lord saved my soul, Marjorie saved my life.”

Not forgetting about his fans, Steve gave them a huge shout out for he knows that without them, he wouldn’t be the star that he is today:

“You cannot get a star, cannot be a star without fans. You cannot be who you are without the people standing on the other side of the railing. I share this star with every single fan of Steve Harvey. … This is our star today.”

Steve’s good friend Samuel L. Jackson was also in attendance to celebrate with him, along with former The Steve Harvey Show cast mates Wendy Raquel Robinson and Cedric the Entertainer.

Congrats to Steve Harvey.

  1. So I wonder if Cousin Tommy really bought his mom, Steve’s Sister a plane ticket on the wrong date which had her yelling at him and Steve on the radio yesterday?

  2. Personal feelings aside about that book (lol), I’m really happy for Steve. He’s a hard worker.
