Anthony Hamilton busted for speeding and driving while impaired? R&B singer Anthony Hamilton made a name for himself in the industry going on 10 years ago as the Charlotte, North Carolina native captured the hearts of many R&B music lovers with the quickness with his soulful sound. The singer’s hit song “Coming from Where I’m From” got much airplay when it first dropped and his debut album was one many deemed to be filled with true R&B music. As he has continued to crank out good quality music, Anthony Hamilton received a plethora of nominations for his albums and singles and became a Grammy Award-winning artist. Anthony Hamilton has kept at it with his music and emerged with a single for film “Django Unchained.” As the singer is looking forward to putting out a new album to his fans’ enjoyment, he recently ran into some legal trouble this past Sunday morning.
According to a report from TMZ, Anthony Hamilton was arrested for a DWI early Sunday morning. The singer was pulled over by the police around 2:30am in the morning in Mecklenburg County for speeding. However, once Anthony was pulled over by the cops, they suspected the singer was under the influence which led to him to be arrested on driving while impaired charges. Anthony Hamilton didn’t remain in jail for long though as he was released later on Sunday morning.
There has been no word from Anthony Hamilton or his camp on the incident as of yet.
I don’t understand why these people just don’t hire drivers.

These cops are handing out DUIs like candy now. That’s why you have to be smart.
Why won’t these famous people use drivers, security or even assistants to drive them home. Stop putting other people at risk for your stupidity.

This was a DWI not a DUI…so he was under the influence of something other than alcohol…

People have to be smart when they get behind the wheel. When you’re driving it’s not just about you.
