Rapper Diggy Simmons is taking no prisoners in his beef with rapper J. Cole over his sister Angela Simmons. The beef between the two up and coming rappers is over the fact that J. Cole originally took shots at his sister Angela and created a fake story about a sexual encounter between the two. Diggy responded with a diss then defending his sister’s honor and the two rappers supposedly squashed the beef.
Recently in Charlotte, North Carolina, J. Cole was brought out on stage to perform with Kendrick Lamar during a show. During their performance, J. Cole issued a subliminal diss towards Diggy.
“Picture me hating on a young ni— with talent…caked out on his allowance.”
Diggy did not take this subliminal lightly. Not long after footage of the verse hit the Internet, Diggy decided to release a response to J. Cole that Power 105 FM in New York premiered. In the J. Cole diss, Diggy said the following towards J. Cole:
“I guess I rattled you, snaggletooth/You know better/Thought J stood for Jermaine, not Jet Setter/You seen me and shook my hand, coppin’ pleas in person,” he spits, likely addressing reports that they squashed the beef in person. “Now you whack, less than a man, mention me in verses. Sneak disses and jabs, I don’t really see the benefit/But I guess you lame enough, probably keep you relevant.”
J. Cole even went after the relationship, or lack there of between J. Cole and his father.
“Perhaps you should’ve sign with me instead of Mr. Carter/How you mad at me just because I have a relationship with my father?”
Apparently the beef that was supposedly squashed is not going to end anytime soon. J. Cole has yet to respond to the track.
And apparently Tyrese decides to jump into the fray and advise J. Cole from extending any kind of return fire towards Diggy

This whole thing screams desperation by Diggy to get some sales for an album that went double wooden nickel.

LOL this beef is stupid. I can’t even take it serious, and now to have Chocolate Ty add himself in the mix?! My only disappointment is that J. Cole is even giving this dude the time of day. I won’t talk bad about Diggy because I like and respect his artistry as well. But the two of them are on two different playing fields and it baffles me why J. Cole even felt the need to take it there and subliminally address Diggy in a freestyle. Maybe back when he was on his mixtape/underground tip (and hell actually, not even then ’cause he’s hotter than Diggy even with just his mixtape material), but now? Nah. Not cool at all.

Wow. You really think Diggy is better than J. Cole lyrically? If so, that’s fine; I’m surprised to read that. In my opinion, Diggy definitely has potential and is very talented for his age, but he’s not touching J. Cole lyrically. Not sure if you’ve listened to him prior to his official album dropping, but give a few of his mixtapes a listen. Namely, “The Warm Up” and “Friday Night Lights.” Diggy is not seeing him.
Tyrese needs to take a cyber seat. I am disappointed in Cole though..Diggy is a kid. He couldn’t sell his album if it was free.
Both of these guys are talented. I hope they set aside their differences and just make the money..
