Diamond Finally Addresses The Rumors About Her & Soulja Boy Joining LHHATL

By: Taren Vaughan

Diamond and Soulja Boy joining the cast of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta was gossip that had avid viewers of the show more than ready for the second season to pop off. Without even stepping foot on the set of the show, Diamond was brought into the mix of the show through Momma Dee’s angry rants about the previous relationship that she had with Lil’ Scrappy, who has had a crazy past couple of days after being arrested for violating his probation. And after hearing bits and pieces about Diamond and Scrappy’s relationship and how Scrappy’s fiance’ Erica Dixon felt when she first found out about the two dating each other, inquiring minds wanted to know if Diamond had any intensions at all of joining the show. Diamond has said previously in an interview that she was going to steer clear of joining the hit reality TV show, not wanting to get into any drama with Momma Dee, Scrappy or Erica. But most recently, it was rumored that Mona Scott-Young was able to change her mind, getting both Diamond and Soulja Boy to agree to join the LHHATL cast but only under certain conditions. The conditions of the agreement were that neither Diamond nor Soulja Boy would ever have to tape with Erica, Scrappy or Momma Dee.

After peeping the rumors surrounding her and Soulja Boy joining the cast, Diamond responded to them on Twitter, laughing them off and saying that there was no truth to them:

Diamond shot down the rumors of her and Soulja Boy joining the LLHATL cast. But a lot of LHHATL watchers would probably admit that adding these two to the current crew that stands now would have made the show just that much more entertaining

  1. I guess. I still think the show would have helped her and Soulja Boy. But for some reason she thinks she’s too good for it, when no one really knows who she is.

  2. This might have been the smart thing for her to do…I mean, who’s going to have real success now from the show? They are all big in reality tv, but no one’s going to be buying their albums. LOL.

  3. After seeing her interview with the Breakfast Club, I understand why she doesn’t want to do it, and would’ve been disappointed had there been truth to the rumors that she actually decided to go through with it. All publicity isn’t good publicity despite the days and times we live in now that would like to depict otherwise. Kudos to her.

    1. I agree. Reality television isn’t a good look for MOST people. I even think it’s going to ruin K. Michelle’s only hope of having a successful music career. Sometimes these shows can backfire. And they have been doing that a lot nowadays.

  4. Ok. Well her and Soulja Boy will continue to be irrelevant then. I think they would have had more success than anyone on the show because they both had decent careers before the show. Hell, she was on the show before Scrappy signed on, so how is she too good for it now?

  5. She made the right choice when you think about it. Everyone on the show looks stupid to some degree now, and it’s not a good look for someone who wants a legitimate music career. The check isn’t even that big, anyway.

  6. It doesn’t matter really because her career is never going to take off. The female rap game is a lost cause. Even Nicki had to become a pop singer to pay her bills. She can hang it up.

  7. Money talks, B$ walks. Idk if I can believe Diamond at this point. These rumors have been persistent for months.
