Soulja Boy has had a rather interesting 24 hours. The young rapper shocked everyone when he uploaded a naked full frontal photo of himself to his Tumblr blog. Since we live in the internet age, as you all know, once you put something on the internet, you can never fully take it back. So unfortunately for Soulja Boy, deleting the photo from his blog did absolutely nothing. Within minutes, the photo went viral, hitting numerous gossip blogs and social networks. Soulja Boy claims that the whole incident isn’t a publicity stunt, and that the photo made the appearance on the blog by accident.
We’ve decided to censor the photo, because well we’re not trying to have exposed peen on the site. That’s not really a good look for us. But judging from the reactions of people who did see Soulja in all his glory, they were quite impressed.
He later blogged on his Tumblr an apology to his fans and anyone else who caught a glimpse of his “little soulja.” He writes:
“I apologize to ever [sic] seen that, accident.”
Sure, it could have been an honest mistake and maybe he was trying to send the photo to his girlfriend rapper Diamond. But it’s kind of tough to accidentally blog a nude photo, and the timing of the whole thing seems…suspect. Especially since he is currently promoting a mix tape.
This wouldn’t be the first time that Soulja Boy has been accused of relying on a publicity stunt to save his less than hot career. The rapper is said to have faked a Twitter beef with Bow Wow to help promote his mix tape and help Bow Wow increase the declining ratings of 106 & Park.
