R&B singer Keyshia Cole knows how to get herself involved in some controversy since she doesn’t believe in holding back speaking her feelings about things. Keyshia particularly likes to spark controversy on her Twitter account, and Beyonce’s loyal fans, The Beyhive, haven’t let her off the hook yet for slamming Bey for her “Bow Down” song. Regardless, Keyshia didn’t backtrack on the comments, and she’s been very busy touring and working on a shoe line with Steve Madden. But now it’s not Keyshia in the middle of a controversy, this time it’s actually her husband NBA player Daniel “Boobie” Gibson. According to reports, the basketball player was arrested for assault and battery. There’s no word yet on who is the accuser. TMZ reports:
Keyshia Cole’s husband Daniel “Boobie” Gibson — a professional basketball player — has been arrested in New Orleans today … and according to reports, he’s been charged with assault and battery.
TMZ has confirmed … 27-year-old Gibson — who played for the Cleveland Cavaliers last season — turned himself in to the New Orleans Police Department earlier today.The details surrounding the alleged assault and battery are unclear — and cops have not identified the accuser.
There are reports that the alleged attack occurred at the Essence Festival earlier this month.
As TMZ reports, there aren’t many details as of yet on what went down with Boobie, but we’re sure more information will be released soon. The site did confirm, however, that the basketball player was released from custody at 11:09 am local time.
Did Keyshia sign a check that Daniel had to cash?
Interesting. I doubt he tried Keyshia’s ratchet azz though because I’m sure she would handle him!
She’s still a woman and I don’t think her small frame would win that match.

Yeah, this sounds very suspect. I wouldn’t be shocked if it was Keyshia that pressed charges. I do think they are having marriage problems. That explains her bitterness too.
