Timbaland’s Wife Files for Divorce, Demands Child Support for Child That Isn’t His

Timbaland may be one of the hottest producers in the music industry as he’s made hits for some of music’s biggest stars, but his marriage hasn’t been so successful. The producer married Monique Mosley five years ago, but his wife has filed for divorce. Interestingly enough, she’s demanding the producer forks over child support for a child that isn’t his. TMZ reports:

Timbaland’s wife has filed for divorce … TMZ has learned … and she’s not only demanding that he foot the bill for their kid, she wants him to pay for a kid he didn’t even father.

Monique Mosley says in her divorce docs — obtained by TMZ — that although she and Timbaland have been married for 5 years, they’ve been a couple for twice that time. In addition to their 5-year-old daughter, Monique has a 10-year-old from another relationship.

So why, you ask, is she asking for child support for both kids? Monique says Timbaland is the daddy by default, since he’s “publicly and privately proclaimed this child as his own.”

In addition to requesting child support, Monique is also demanding alimony, private school for the kids, vacations, summer camp and other expenses paid.

In the documents filed, she also claimed that she is struggling financially, so she wants Timbaland to cover the attorney’s fees because she had to borrow the money to hire an attorney from a friend.

As far as alimony is concerned, she is demanding money while the divorce is pending. She also wants a lump sum and she’s asking for both rehabilitative and permanent alimony since Timbaland is worth about $80 million.

Honestly, we can’t say we’re shocked by the split considering Timbaland said in his Behind the Music segment that he only married Monique because she looked like Aaliyah at the time, a singer he admitted he had fallen in love with years ago.
