Rihanna may love her fans whom she affectionately refers to as The Navy and credits them for her success, but that doesn’t mean the pop star won’t check them when she feels the need. Apparently her favorite place to put her fans in check is on Instagram, and she’s not opposed to doing it during a performance, even if that means hitting them upside the head with a microphone. But it’s what her fans love best and to them it’s just a sign of Rihanna’s authenticity.
But we’re not sure why some of them still keep trying to come for her on Instagram like she won’t clap back in the comment section.
Rihanna has been posting Christmas gifts she received from some high-end designer labels to Instagram for the last couple of days, and although we’re sure it’s just her way to promote the companies who sent the freebies (stars do it all the time and that’s what the companies expect them to do in exchange for the freebie), she seems to be ruffling some feathers of some of her own fans because of it.
After one fan went after her and accused her of not being giving enough to her fans, Rihanna quickly clapped back (screenshot obtained by Miss Jia):
I do think the fan was out of line since Rihanna actually does give back quite a bit, but Rihanna needs to really grow up and learn how to stop responding to every little thing someone says that she doesn’t like. It makes her look weak in my opinion.
I disagree. I actually think it makes her look like a strong person who is always willing to stand up for herself. More stars need to do this so people will stop trolling them on Twitter. People need to be put in their place.
Exactly! Rihanna is not weak! She’s stronger than most of the women in the business! She is always standing up for herself!
How is she strong?! She went back to her abuser, bullies other women online and curses out her own fans when they actually have the courage to tell her the truth about herself. She is weak and extremely lucky she even ended up where she is today.
Going back to Chris doesn’t make her weak, it makes her human. Most women go back to their abusers at least once after they hurt them. But Rihanna has since then moved on and she’s learn from it. You sound extremely bitter and hateful. I don’t understand why Rihanna’s success makes some people so angry. Care to explain?
LOL! Of course you and Navy would say that.
It actually takes more strength to NOT respond. But young people don’t understand that. Silence hurts more than any “clap back.” You will see one day.
That’s not always true though. Some people take silence and a non response as a sign to continue trolling. Rarely do people try Rihanna again after she drags them. It may not be what most of y’all would do, but for some it’s the only way to get people to stay in their place.
Thank you The Truth. I completely agree. Most people don’t deserve a response and by responding you show them that they did affect you. You’re giving them power.
Only weak people respond to trolls every single day.
She really needs to grow up. Shouldn’t she be too busy with her career to read every single mention she gets on Twitter and Instagram? How does she even have the time?!
She shouldn’t have time to be doing this on Instagram.
LOL! I love her! She’s hilarious!
DEAD @ begging for purses.
That had me cracking up too. LOL.
I’m still trying to understand how an international pop star has time to check all of her mentions and then proceed to curse everyone out who says something she doesn’t like.
Because she truly doesn’t care what anyone thinks of her. More of you should try it. Life is much better that way.
The girl who came at her is an idiot. There’s plenty of articles out here about Rihanna doing charity and donating to those in need. She got the response she deserved.
Really Rih? This wasn’t even worth a response. Seriously.
If Rihanna put as much time in her performances as she did responding to foolishness on twitter and IG she would an awesome entertainer. Instead…
She needs to stop doing this. It just makes her look childish. Is she going to still be dragging people on Instagram when she’s 30? I sure hope not.
Unnecessary.
