With the numerous reports that have accused Rihanna of performing drunk and the many times Rihanna has shared photos of herself partying with her close friends, it’s no wonder why most who aren’t part of the Navy seem to imagine she’s some party machine and pop singer who loves to be controversial.
But in reality, Rihanna doesn’t party all the time and she says that contrary to belief, she’s somewhat of a homebody and she works quite a bit to maintain her success in the industry.
During more press rounds for her new collection with MAC’s Viva Glam, she tells USA Today:
“I think they think I’m drunk all the time. I think they think I am always partying, that my house is probably a party all the time with tons of people and tons of music and no clothes. I think that’s what they think.
“I’m actually very laid back. I love watching TV on a big old couch by myself. I love to swim in the ocean or the pool.”
And as far as the role model label, Rihanna is still not interested:
“I don’t like to use that word because people have their own opinion on what that means to them. I can’t really say I’m a role model. I’m not perfect. I’m not trying to sell that.
“I want people to have fun but be responsible, protect themselves and be in control of your life. You can never judge people. I always made that a point. You never know what someone is going through.”
But the only images Rihanna puts out of herself are her being naked, smoking, drinking and twerking. I’m sure there is way more to her but I would love for her to promote that as much as she promotes smoking/drinking/being sexy.
She does! I bet you don’t even follow her on Instagram. If you’re depending on the blogs to show you all the sides to her you will never get to know her as a person. Smh.

My little cousin is a huge Rihanna fan and went to see her in concert and she was 2 hours late and sounded drunk(maybe off key as usual)according to her. That’s an eye witness account from a Rihanna fan so that’s all the receipt I need lol.
I don’t think she was drunk. It’s hard to perform an entire concert drunk…real hard. And why don’t people ever talk about Beyonce being late? Why doesn’t that make national news? She has been late before too, but that’s not plastered all over the blogs. 😐

First Beyonce is hardly ever late and if she is she makes up for it by doing more than singing off key and crotch grabs by actually performing. This isn’t even about Beyonce why are you bringing her up? It has been well documented Rihanna has been late and drunk to her own concerts it was even UB had a post about it. But my point is when she is always seen in the club, drinking, showing up late to concerts don’t expect people to believe you when she says she is homebody. She might very well be a homebody but perception is everything fair or unfair. Furthermore the navy is a funny bunch y’all want to drag and shade everybody but when someone says anything about Rihanna its a problem lol.

See, I’m not even going to shade Bey like you just did Rihanna because I actually do like her new album and I learned to like her more as an artist by coming on UB all the time. I only asked a real question because no one likes to talk about Beyonce being late. She is human, so is Rih. But I just want you to see how quick you were to shoot down Rihanna when the Navy on here has been supportive of YOUR fave. I don’t know why the Hive can’t be as respectful. I guess it’s insecurity. :-/
PS. We only shade people who came for Rihanna first (ie. Karrueche, Teyana, Ciara) You know that. 🙂
@Navy you are right that was a low blow but we cool it’s all in love and hard as it is for me to admit I like some of Rihanna songs she is not all that bad lol. I’m trying what can I say 😉

Celebs get on my nerves with the whole not wanting to be a role model crap. If you’re famous, you are automatically a role model. Get over it!
I’m not a Rihanna stan but this is such BS. It is not a celeb’s job to raise someone else’s kids! When I was young, my role models were my parents! Please stop it with this stupid argument.

Honestly Rihanna is grown. If she wants to post pictures of herself drinking, smoking, partying, etc. that’s her right. I can tolerate her more than others because at the end of the day she does have a real career. At least he isn’t doing weekly booty shots on IG like Kim K. lol
Parents need to be their kid’s role models. Period.

I’m not fan but the role model things bothers me even more now that Beyonce is getting slammed so much for her new album. I don’t know why we keep expecting celebrities to raise kids that are not their own when most of us don’t even try to be role models ourselves.
