Apparently Miss Lawrence and some of the others really feel like the housewives are using them.
More specifically, he feels that many of the ladies on the show are mocking the gay culture.
Now that he’s left the show to focus on other opportunities (he just had an appearance on “Empire”), he’s speaking his mind and not holding back.
He tells BET:
“The one episode where Kenya [Moore]’s friend got beat up at Nene’s party, no one was held accountable, there was no real apology put in place. I knew then that was not a place to occupy my time.
“I have genuine friendships with some of the girls, but I do know that most of it came out of convenience. Most of it came out of being the token gay. The go-to person, ‘Oh, I need a new word to say, I need some gay slang! How do I say, ‘Yaasss’? All of that type of stuff.”
So that role he had on Empire wasn’t offensive to him? Oh.

Yet all of them were cheesing like hell every time they got some camera time.
I thought he was legitimate friends with Sheree. I did find it weird how he was filming with Kenya all of a sudden. So is he talking about her?

Well they do cast them like token gays but they were ok with it so…

Cosign. They use them for funny commentary and Miss Lawrence and etc. use Nene and etc. for a chance to get on TV. I will say Miss Lawrence was smart enough to get out in time and start using his connections to get bigger opportunities.
I agree with him and it’s offensive to sit and watch people take our slang and wear it out!!!!!! Meanwhile these same people are anti-gay.

I think he really did leave on his own. Remember he did have that fashion show. He probably didn’t think he needed RHOA anymore but then his show got cancelled.
I wish he would have been messy and named names. Selfish of me I know.

I’m learning people don’t mind exploiting themselves but have a problem when someone else exploits them. It’s so weird.
Well he agreed to be exploited so don’t complain now that you are on to other things. If he was never on RHOA, he probably would never have been on Fashion Queens nor Empire. You reaped the benefits then complain.smh
