Nicki Minaj Defends Her Album Sales

As it stands, Nicki Minaj’s latest studio album, “The Pinkprint” has sold around 682,000 copies.

The album has been certified gold, but pure sales have stalled, and some are speculating it may not break into the platinum range of a million or more copies sold.

So when Nicki tweeted about the album going platinum, some bloggers took her to task and reminded her the album hasn’t been certified platinum based off pure sales.

But Nicki clapped back and claimed when streams are factored in, “The Pinkprint,” has sold over a million copies.

She tweets (read from top to bottom):

  1. Nicki is trying real hard to distract people from what’s going on with her brother. This is the most she’s ever tweeted.

      1. Well Cole and Drake went platinum. I just think Kendrick’s last album didn’t go over well with everyone and Nicki waited too late to start trying to be serious as a rapper.

  2. Nicki doesn’t have anything prove if the album isn’t platinum yet it will go platinum and when that platinum plaque comes in I would just post it . I don’t even know why she is arguing with people about this come on Nicki do better.
