K. Michelle Says She Quit LHHATL After Watching ‘Birth of a Nation’

In a recent interview with Atlanta radio station V-103 via Big Tigger, K. opened up about how the controversial film forced her to really reflect on her past actions on LHHATL.

She says:

“Honestly, when I saw ‘Birth of a Nation,’ that’s when things changed.

“I started getting mad at myself. I didn’t film ‘Love and Hip Hop’ anymore after that because I saw that and I said, ‘Girl, you up here trying to fight, fight with bag lady. I mean, you fight with these people and what you fighting for? What are you doing it for?’

“It made me say, all these little girls looking at you throwing drinks, candles, mad at women…doing all of that. Yeah, they may have hurt you but you ain’t gon be no better if you keep getting on this TV doing that…I’m not going back to that. After I saw that movie, I felt bad about my behavior, period.”

  1. It doesn’t matter what made her change but I’m glad she sees the light now. Mona is making a fortune off the desperation of so many people. It’s crazy.

  2. Didn’t she say all this before?????? Yea ok…I’ll believe it when I don’t see her doing LHH or other ratchet stuff

  3. This is why the powers to be pushed those rape allegations to the forefront. They know the outcome for them wouldn’t be good if black people supported this film and went out to see it in droves.

  4. I havent seen the movie but what exactly makes it stand out from all the movies about how black people were treated during slavery? I refuse to believe this one movie made her change her ways when you can turn on the tv and see whats going on now and think its time to act like a grown a-s woman and leave the ratchetness to the housewives
