The Quad Recap: Cecil Reconciles with Sister + Eva May Now Be Able to Take Down Terrence

Cecil is rushed to the hospital.

After passing out and falling off the podium during the Battle of the Bands, Cecil is rushed to the hospital.

While undergoing a series of test, he learns that he can try a trial drug to treat his cancer. But there is a possibility he could be the one patient to get stuck with the placebo.

Dominique has put together an investor group and informs Eva.

He claims he created a solid group of investors who want to donate to the school, but the school’s financial books must be reviewed first.

They agree to go to dinner and discuss details further.

Tiesha does a favor for BoJohn.

Bojohn and another football player ask Tiesha to pretend she had a “minaj” with them for a class assignment regarding gender studies, and she agrees to go through with it when they promise to secure her interviews with other football players.

When the other students start labeling her as a “THOT,” Tiesha begins to regret her decision.

Cedric gets a visitor.

Cedric’s deceased girlfriend’s brother comes by his dorm to talk with him. Apparently he has an idea who killed his sister.

The murderer’s name is Bones and he killed her because she witnessed the shooting from the first episode.

Bones is a bodyguard to a well known rapper who happens to be performing in the area the following night.

He hands Cedric a gun to get revenge, however, Cedric’s roommate discovers the gun before he can use it. He grills Cedric for bringing the gun to their room and Cedric leaves in a huff.

“This really ain’t none of your business.” – Cedric

Cecil’s sister shows up to the hospital.

Cecil questions why she brought their father to Battle of the Bands, especially since he abused them. She’s upset because once he got a scholarship, he left her and their mother to handle the abuse on their own.

Sydney is back home.

With things being intense for her at campus, she finds peace in being back home. She still keeps in touch with Maddie while she is away and appears to find peace in the friendship.

Eva learns Terrence may have another victim at the school.

A student tells Eva that Terrence raped her too. Eva informs Sydney but tells her that she can’t tell her who the student is because she hasn’t gone public yet.

“I’m going back.” – Sydney

Sydney thinks she should return to campus and go the police with the other victim. However, Eva doesn’t think this is a good idea and urges her to stay home.

Meanwhile, Coach Hardwick gets a lawyer for Terrence, and she’s decided to work pro bono.

Cedric plans to take out his deceased girlfriend’s killer.

Cedric decides to go through with getting revenge, however, his girlfriend’s brother doesn’t show up. Interestingly enough, a police car does.

Turns out, his girlfriend’s brother handled the situation on his own because he changed his mind about getting Cedric involved after Cedric’s roommate advised him to leave Cedric out of whatever bad deed he’s planning.

Later on, a news station confirms that Bones was killed.

Cecil finally comes clean with his sister.

After his sister’s brings him seafood to eat, the nurse informs him that he can’t eat it because it will interfere with the trial drug. He then reveals to his sister that he has lung cancer and he turned down the trial drug for a more traditional treatment.

They finally hash out their issues and actually enjoy each other’s company.

  1. It’s nice to see the human side of Cecil. I wasn’t here for his character at first because he seemed so cold all the time.
