Things get awkward for Silver.
Silver wakes up alone after sleeping with Tasha. She leaves behind a note telling him she had a good time and he gets a phone call from Ghost telling him to open the door.
“We need to talk. Now. You here alone?” – Ghost
Ghost asks Silver when was the last time he talked to Proctor and if Silver has heard that he’s being criminally investigated.
Silver tells him he hasn’t heard anything but if Ghost has heard something, he needs to tell him.
Ghost then says he hasn’t heard anything but he’s just nervous since he knows his case is still pending.
Silver tells Ghost he can make some phone calls but Ghost tells him not to worry about it.
“I didn’t know you had a lady.” – Ghost
While walking out of Silver’s place, Ghost finds an earring and asks Silver if he has a woman. Silver says it’s nothing serious and Ghost tells him that Tasha can put him in touch with their housekeeper to tidy up his place. Silver passes but gets a little nervous Ghost may be figuring out he’s been sleeping with Tasha.
Dre asks Tommy for an update on the Jimenez.
“You still thinking about going to war with the Jimenez?” – Dre
Dre and Tommy catch up on the status of possibly going to war with the Jimenez over Julio’s death. Tommy tells him he still hasn’t gotten an answer, but he plans to go to war with them and he doesn’t feel the Serbs need to know anything.
“This is some dirt that we can clean up ourselves. And what the f*ck are you questioning me for? If we don’t hear from them by midnight, you tell everybody to strap up. Bodies are gonna f*ckin drop.” – Tommy
Dre tells Tommy that he is ready and he will make sure that all of their associates are as well.
Saxe is on his way to a meeting with Angela but runs into Mike.
Mike tells him that he really believes Donavan is the mole and he wants to make sure that Saxe is still on his side. Saxe tells him he still has his back and he will update him if he finds out more information.
Keisha and Tasha catch up while Tariq is in earshot, Raina tells Tasha about her dream school.
Keisha tells Tasha that she doesn’t think it was a good idea that Tasha said in the interview that she and Ghost are working on their marriage. But Tasha tells Keisha she only said that because Silver instructed her to. Keisha questions why she’s still talking to Silver and before Tasha can come clean about their budding romance, Raina walks in to talk about transferring to another school.
However, Tasha notices the bruise on her arm first. Raina covers for Tariq and tells her she just bumped into somebody at school.
She hands Tasha a pamphlet of the same school she told Tariq about.
“But, baby, I just don’t understand why would you want to go to a school away from your family all of a sudden?” – Tasha
“I just do. Will you think about it? Please?” – Raina
“All right. Sure, I will.” – Tasha
Tariq then sends a text message to his friend Brains and tells him that he wants in on the upcoming lick.
Ghost meets Tate in his old neighborhood for a quick business meeting.
Tate tells Ghost he has a guest pulling up soon, and Dre pulls up and exits his vehicle. Ghost is less than thrilled but continues to be professional and is cordial.
Saxe, Angie and Donavan continue to put the pieces together.
Donovan tells them that his daughter told him that Mike came by recently and he asked her not to tell him he stopped by. They figure out that Mike intended to murder Donovan that day to cover his tracks. They realize they don’t have enough evidence on Mike since no surveillance videos show Mike planting the gun at Truth.
Angie tells them about the burner phone but they know they can’t use it as evidence considering she got it from Ghost.
Tate tells Ghost and Dre that he wants to build an after school facility in Ghost’s old neighborhood that will house centers for health, arts and fitness all in one. He calls it The Queens Child Project.
Ghost likes his idea and says Tate has his full support.
Tate then points out that local drug dealers will be an obstacle. Ghost then eyes the corner he and Tommy gave up to the Jimenez and sees that it’s still being occupied by the Toros Locos.
Tate tells Ghost they need to figure out how to clear out the drug dealers.
“I’m ready to get both these hands dirty.” – Ghost
“That’s what I want to hear.” – Tate
When Tate walks away briefly to take an incoming phone call, Ghost checks Dre for not telling him he was showing up to the meeting.
Dre says Tate called him and told him Ghost would be okay with him attending to keep up his legit image. Ghost then asks Dre if the dealers standing on the nearby corner are Toros Locos. Dre confirms such.
“Yeah, that’s them.” – Dre
Ghost then asks Dre how Tommy’s meeting with the Toros Locos went and Dre tells him that it led to Tommy meeting with the Jimenez.
He tells Ghost that Tommy made some demands the Jimenez weren’t ready to approve and now Tommy wants to go to war. He tells Ghost that he needs to talk to Tommy and Ghost agrees it’s not a good time to go to war.
Meanwhile, Tommy goes by to see Kate and tells her that Tony said he is his father. Kate tells Tommy that Tony is lying and that his father died years ago. He then gets a call from Ghost asking to meet up.
After Tommy leaves, she has a concerned look on her face confirming that she isn’t being truthful.
Dre meets with all of Tommy’s associates and tells them they need to strap up because a war with Jimenez may be coming. They make it clear that they are irritated with Tommy but he urges them to do as they are told.
Cristobal stays behind and asks Dre if he’s sure he wants to do this. Dre expresses her doesn’t want a war because he just became distro, but he had no idea killing Julio would lead to this. When Cristobal asks what the next move is, Dre tells him he’s not sure, but they need to be on the same page and a step ahead of Tommy somehow.
Ghost gets pulled back in.
Tommy and Ghost meet up and Ghost asks Tommy about wanting to go to war with the Jimenez.
Tommy then tells him that Tony is claiming to be his father. Ghost tells him he had his suspicions and Tommy says Tony only wanted him to call so they could get to know each other. He tells her Kate is denying it but Ghost says he’s not sure if Tony is telling the truth or not.
Ghost them changes the subject to the Jimenez and Tommy asks him what he wants him to do. He feels like the Jimenez are just going to have them killed, so he wants to make the first move.
Ghost asks Tommy if the Serbs will back this move and Tommy doesn’t answer. At this point, Ghost assures him there’s a legitimate way to force the Jimenez’s hand. Tommy then tells Ghost that they didn’t even flinch when he told them that he killed Lobos.
Tommy invites him to go meet the Jimenez with him and Ghost reluctantly accepts after he realizes Tommy won’t be able to handle the Jimenez on his own.
The next day Ghost sneaks up on Proctor while he’s leaving his daughter’s school. He slides in the car before Proctor can drive off and questions why he didn’t tell him about Mak coming by his place to speak to him recently.
Proctor says he didn’t tell Ghost because he didn’t tell Mak anything. Proctor says there’s nothing for him to tell Mak but Mak is just trying to scare him into talking because he saw in Bailey’s phone records show he was the last person Bailey called.
Proctor feels like everything is Tommy’s fault but Ghost reminds him that he was responsible for discarding Bailey’s body and getting rid of the tape.
Ghost feels Proctor is just stashing things away to save himself but Proctor says if he was going to snitch, he would have done so a long time ago. But now that he’s an accomplice, his best interest is to stay quiet.
“Whether I like it or not, we are in this sh*t together.” – Proctor
Proctor tells Ghost that sneaking up on him is more of Tommy’s thing but Ghost tells him he’s only doing it now because he doesn’t know who he can trust anymore.
“Still me.” – Proctor
Ghost tells him to call him if Mak comes by again. Proctor agrees.
Tommy talks to Connie.
Tommy goes by to see Sam but runs into Connie.
Connie tells Tommy that Sam will be back soon and he went to the store for her. They have some small talk and Connie asks him where he’s from.
He tells her his last name is Egan and he’s from Queens. She then asks him his mom’s name and he tells her that his mom’s name is Kate. She tells Tommy she doesn’t know Kate.
While Connie goes in the kitchen to get Tommy some whiskey, Tommy looks at family photos and steals one.
Tommy and Ghost meet with the Jimenez.
The Jimenez tell them that they still haven’t reached a decision regarding Tommy’s requests. Ghost then tells them that their reputation in the streets has been solid but that will change if people find out they didn’t kill Lobos. Especially since they are taking credit for his death. If they give Tommy all he requested, Ghost assures them they will keep their little secret.
Diego gets mad and slams his gun on the table but Tommy lets them know that they have a plan B in case they are killed and their secret will get out anyway. Alicia tells Diego to put the gun away. Ghost tells them that have until the next day to give them an answer.
When Tommy and Ghost get back in the car, they tell Dre and Grim that the meeting didn’t go well and the Jimenez have until tomorrow to give them an answer. If not, they are going to war.
Saxe and Mike meet up at a bar, Saxe stirs.
Saxe tells Mike that Angie believes he is the mole. Mike gets fired up and and tells Saxe he has to run. He thanks Saxe for having his back.
Tommy confronts Kate with the truth.
Tommy goes back to Kate’s place and shows her a picture of a younger Tony holding him while he was a baby at their old house. He demands Kate tells him the truth and she finally admits that Tony is his father.
She then tells him that the day the photo was taken, Tony came by to the house to meet Tommy for the first time and never came back.
“Tommy, don’t you get it? He left you. He left us with nothing!” – Kate
She tells Tommy that Tony can’t be trusted and Tommy gets angry and starts throws her magazines on the ground before walking out.
Mike and Angela have a showdown.
Mike goes to Angela’s place and she tells him that she knows he killed Greg. For evidence, she shows him photos of him leaving Lobos’ contact Sanchez’s place. She then shows him a photo of Greg going to Sanchez’s place not too long after. She says this is proof that Greg was investigating Mike and got confirmation Mike was the mole when he was most likely called by the Federales.
She also points out that Mike never mentioned the calls on Greg’s phone records from and to the Federales and redacted them. She believes that shows that Mike was trying not to implicate himself during Ghost’s case.
And that is when Mike killed him. Mike eventually tells her that he only became a mole for Lobos because Lobos threatened to kill his daughter. Angie is wired, so Saxe, Mak and Donovan hear this confession and decide to exit the vehicle to arrest Mike. She tells Mike he still has time to make things right and they can go to Mak together. Mike then gets off the couch and tells her he can’t let her take him down.
He tells her he didn’t have a choice to do what he did but she did.
He tells her he will go to Mak and give him all the dirt he has on her. He tells her that her name came up during his meetings with Lobos.
“You don’t have anything on me. I’m innocent.” – Angie
Mike laughs at this and then pulls out his gun on her. When Saxe and the other officer who stayed behind to keep recording the wire conversation hear this, they radio Donovan and Mak and the FBI officers that Angie is in danger.
“None of us are innocent, Angela. We all have dirty hands. Especially you.” – Mike
At this point, Angie snaps her wire so the rest of the conversation won’t be heard and her peers won’t know what she’s done.
He tells Angie he didn’t want to have to kill her but she wouldn’t leave the situation alone. He demands she turns around and faces the wall. She somehow gets the gun in her sleeve out and quickly turns around and shoots Mike in the shoulder.
She then tells Mike he still has a chance to cover himself and he’s a witness, not a murderer. The FBI agents then bust in and arrest Mike.
Kate visits Tony to give him a warning.
She tells him that he needs to leave Tommy alone like they agreed or she will let Connie know about her and Tommy.
“I may be stuck inside here, but it’s never a good idea to threaten me.” – Tony
“You take it how you will. Stay away from my f*cking son!” – Kate
Tariq pulls a lick and it goes really bad.
Tariq attempts to pull a lick with his friend Brains and Big Country.
Tariq gets in the woman’s house by posing as a student on the swim team and selling candy bars to raise funds. Not too long after he gets in, Brains and Big Country bust in and hold them at gunpoint.
They take the woman upstairs and tell her to unlock the safe. Tariq gets ready to leave as told but heads upstairs as he hears Big Country attempt to rape the woman in the bedroom. Tariq tells Brains to tell Big Country to stop and Brains tells Tariq he wished he didn’t say his name. He then he shoots the woman in the head, killing her.
Tariq freaks out and runs out the house and away from his Brains and Big Country. They try to get in contact with him and call and text, but Tariq hides in the alleys nearby and ignores them, fearing for his life.
Mike makes his move.
During Mike’s interrogation, he tells Mak that he wants immunity. If he doesn’t get it, he will say that every one of the cases he closed were done with influence from Lobos. He says this will cause a huge scandal for the United States Attorney’s Office and hurt Mak’s career.
“I’ll see what I can do.” – Mak
Angie sets everything in motion.
Angie goes by to see Silver and tells him that Mike has been arrested for Greg’s murder. She tells him he’s currently being held in MCC until his transfer to protective custody. Silver is surprised to learn Ghost really is innocent and tells her he will relay the good news.
Angie leaves his office smirking.
Silver later goes to Ghost and Tasha’s penthouse to give them the happy update. He tells Ghost that he will be cleared of all charges. When he tells Ghost it was Mike who killed Greg, Ghost is surprised. He tells Ghost Mike is awaiting arraignment at the MCC.
When Ghost walks off to call Stern and give him the good news, Silver and Tasha slyly catch up. He tells Tasha that Ghost came by his place and discovered her earring. He tells her they need to be more careful. He asks her out to dinner this weekend. She accepts.
Tommy , Proctor and Ghost meet up. They all agree that Mike can’t be trusted and could rat them out.
“Sandoval’s being held in the MCC.” – Ghost
They decide he needs to be killed and Tommy calls Tony to get the job done. He’s surprised when Tony quickly accepts the task and ask for nothing in return. Tony tells Tommy it’s not a big deal because he’s family.
Dre, Uriel and Cristobal meet with the Jimenez.
Dre tells them that they can avoid a war and he can take over Tommy’s organization.
“You’re turning on your connect. Why should we trust you?” – Alicia
“Because I want to be the biggest got damn drug dealer in New York City. And I can’t do that working for Tommy.” – Dre
When Alicia tells him they could easily just kill them all and be done with it, Dre tells them that his relationship with the Bassetts puts him in position to have their drugs sold at a number of hotels across the world. All he needs them to do is give Tommy and Ghost their demands and they he will work on taking Tommy down.
“If you f-ck this up, I will kill you myself.” – Diego
The Jimenez agree to the deal.
Mike gets his karma.
Mike’s wound is being tended to and the doctor tells him he will be back as Mike puts back on his orange jumpsuit.
A man walks in and catches him off guard, and stabs him in the neck, killing him.
Tommy tells Ghost it’s done and Mike was killed. Dre then calls and tell them that the Jimenez are giving them their demands, so the war will not happen. Both are happy about the news.
After Dre hangs up, Cristobal asks Dre if he really thinks he can pull everything off without Tommy knowing.
“Absolutely.” – Dre
Ghost and Tommy dap it up to the good news.
“I guess we’re still a pretty good team.” – Tommy
“Absolutely.” – Ghost
Proctor heads to his PO Box and places Bailey’s laptop inside of it, then locking it.
Now that the Toros Locos have given up their territory, Ghost meets with Tate at the penthouse and tells him that the drug dealers are gone.
“We can now push forward to the next step and earn the development contract.” – Ghost
When Tate asks how he did it, Ghost says he knows some people connected to the dealing life who owed him a favor. They toast to the Queens Child’s Project.
Tariq walks in the house and Ghost introduces him to Tate. He tells Ghost he’s been playing basketball with friends and he’s interested in going to the same school Raina has been talking about. He explains that the science classes and basketball courts are stellar and he really wants to transfer.
Angela later walks in to Mike’s place of death with Mak and Saxe after Mike’s body is discovered.
“What a waste. All his information dies with him.” – Mak
After Mak and Saxe leave, Angie bends down to tell Mike’s corpse that his murder was for Greg, making it clear that she orchestrated it.
What are your thoughts on the episode?
And once again Angie is portrayed like some damn savior and superhero. I’m just about over this show!
Why is Dre not dead yet?
They probably want him to be the new bad guy next season. Since Kanan is being phased out.
This show can’t survive if Ghost isn’t in the game anymore. It makes the show. I’m glad him and Tommy are working together again.
Power is really starting to get on my nerves they highlighted Angela being some kind of hero but they barely focused on her manipulation she’s the one that set up Mike getting killed not for Greg or anybody else but for herself. Ghost so stupid still don’t realize he still getting manipulated by Angela. Power really needs a strong season finale because this season has been underwhelming and I’m tired of the whole dynamic of the show.
This show has gotten corny now. I need for them to get it together. I rolled my eyes a lot last night at some of this cheesy writing.
I’m really tired of them trying to change people’s minds about Angela. You can tell they have been writing the season in a way that will make her more likable, while Tasha gets more hate. I’m very disappointed.
