Waka Flocka Says He’s Not an African-American

Waka Flocka sat down with the Hot 97 crew recently to promote his new music, but he’s getting attention because of what he had to say about his genetic makeup.

The rapper claims he’s not African-American.

Here’s what Waka had to say when Ebro asked him how he feels about the controversy surrounding the NFL:

“I have no African descendant in my blood, like I’m Native American. Literally, I’m a Cherokee, I’m a Blackfoot, I’m a Red Tail Indian. That’s what’s in my blood. And the other is mixed with European. For somebody to tell me not to kneel, you’re crazy.

“A lot of people in America are Indigenous people. You’re not from Africa. But that’s a whole nother conversation…”

More tidbits:

– Waka is extremely proud of Tammy’s career. He now says she’s able to stand on her own financially and pay the bills, even though he continues to offer to take care of everything.

– He has no beef with Gucci Mane and he’s glad to see him healthy, engaged and happy.

– He only signed up for LHHATL because Tammy sat him down and broke down how she could use the platform to launch her career. It worked.

– He’s only putting out new music because his loyal fans deserve it. Other than that, he’s always able to make good money from traveling and doing shows.

  1. What? He needs to educate himself. Truth be told, we’re all from Africa. The first human being remains were found there.

  2. It’s sad how many of us want nothing to do with Africa. White Supremacy has really done a number on us and our community.
