Van from ‘Black Ink Crew Chicago’ Fears for His Life Amid Clothing Line Drama

Van from Black Ink Crew Chicago Clothing Line Update.

Van Johnson is suing Faheem Shabazz in Chicago court as their fight over the CHICAGOrilla clothing line continues.

The “Black Ink Crew: Chicago” star is suing Faheem for slander, assault and interference with the business, originally reported by The Blast. Van claims he, Faheem, and his brother Falaah Shabazz, who’s also named in the suit, were partners in the clothing line.

However, the parties had a falling out. Van claims he continued to run the clothing line while on the VH1 show. The brothers allegedly approached Van and VH1, demanding they pay up for using the clothing line’s logo on the show.

Van even claims his reputation has been damaged over this lawsuit, and ultimately lost business opportunities over it. He also claims he’s received threats of violence from the brothers via a phone call.

Johnson says he is now in “legitimate fear” for his safety after an ominous call warned him to “watch his back” because “they were coming for him.”
