“Black Ink Crew Chicago” hasn’t been on the air in years. However, Don Brumfield has been receiving attention on social media thanks to life updates. When he was on the show, fans saw him struggle with his marriage to Ashley Brumfield. Don cheated on Ashley multiple times throughout their time together. In the final episodes, Don was visibly irritated with Ashley, and couples therapy was not working.
Well, Don and Ashley have parted ways. Don posted about his current boo on Instagram for the first time publicly weeks ago.

During an appearance on The Reality Table, Don was asked about his failed marriage.
The interviewer asked Don, “So when you was married, was you not happy?”
Don answered, “No. I wasn’t, I wasn’t happy because parts of my marriage was pleasing. Parts of my marriage was trying to figure out how to suffice your happiness where it wasn’t within yourself. That individual at the time was still trying to find self. So when you had two people trying to find self, and we were young when we got together…parts of her I felt like she had unaccomplished goals, dreams, visions, versions of herself.”
He added, “And I still had a version of myself…and you trying to just smash that together because it felt like the right thing to do. You learn later like that was the wrong path.”

Of course he left out the part about him cheating on her all the time smh. Men are something else.
It didn’t help that you were cheating too though! Soo yeahhh! 🙄😏 I guess you can get a fresh start with the new victim, I mean new partner/girlfriend.
I don’t feel bad for Ashley. She stayes after he had a child on her🙄.
Women that stay should not get empathy.

It’s sad when reality TV helps the demise of so many people and relationships, smh 🙏for them all.
They were toxic.
They were definitely in a toxic relationship. He never mentioned the fact that 4 weeks after they met she was pregnant…seriously. They were both being seriously irresponsible. They had the 1st baby (DJ) who was absolutely adorable and all she talked about after she had him was getting married. He was jusr a serial cheater. She knew what she had but she continued having babies hoping he would change. I’m not surprised he was unhappy according to the interview. They should have never been married. Maybe he’ll change his cheating ways one day.
However I’m watching a movie right now that Don is playing a lead role. He’s really a pretty good actor. I’m looking forward to seeing him on the big screen more in the future. I’m happy for him and hoping his ex-wife is living her best life now. I felt she was trying to make him out to be someone he wasn’t ready to be.
