Benedict interrupts Desna’s birthday celebration.

The episode begins with Roller fixing Desna breakfast in bed. It’s Desna’s birthday and it’s getting off to a great start.

Roller also gives Desna a necklace and is throwing her a party at the casino. However, her day gets interrupted when Benedict wants to meet with her for lunch. So she brings Jenn and Polly for support.

Benedict refuses to meet with Desna with Jenn and Polly, to which Desna reluctantly caves. Interestingly enough, Joe’s at the meeting and he’s not happy Desna’s there and he’s forced to entertain Jenn and Polly.

During the meeting, Benedict reveals he’s going to be expanding his casino business but Desna’s not coming along for the ride. Desna manages to get back in his favor when she convinces him she’ll have Ann’s brother in her pocket when he wins the Governor race.

Joe breaks things off with Polly and Dean and Virginia make up.

When Joe entertains Jenn and Polly, Polly grills him about being married. He admits to it and Polly breaks down crying. Joe says he’s in an open marriage but Polly isn’t ready for that. Polly gives him an ultimatum and he chooses his wife over Polly.

Meanwhile, Dean returns to the motel room and Virginia’s there. He admits he got caught up in Mahjong and apologizes. Virginia accepts the apology by dropping her robe.

All of the girls are at the salon when Ann appears to be fully caught up at work. Desna tries to talk to Ann about her brother and Ann goes off.

Roller is arrested.

Desna pleads to talk to Ann’s brother Henry and she doesn’t answer. Desna tells Roller about everything. However, they can’t focus on this because police arrest Roller for the murder of Clint.

After the arrest, Desna can’t get any answers from the police while Uncle Daddy and Bryce show up. During the commotion, it’s revealed to Jenn and Polly that Roller did kill Clint. Jenn then learns Toby shot at Desna and Virginia and Uncle Daddy lied to Roller and killed a priest.

Meanwhile, Ann’s at the beach contemplating calling her brother Henry, getting him to help Desna. However, she heads to the police to give them information about a dirty cop.

Roller calls Desna collect and she tells him she’s on her way to bail him out. Back at the salon, Benedict arrives telling Desna she needs to handle Ann immediately for going to the cops.

At the Shrimp Shack, Desna meets with Ann about Ann going to the police. Desna pleads with Ann to have Henry meet with Benedict, or else more people will drop.

Meanwhile, Polly heads to Ken’s home. He opens the door in a skunk suit and she breaks down crying.

He’s entertaining another woman. But drops her for Polly.

Desna’s scared Roller’s going to jail for a long time.

Roller’s out of jail and he tells Desna they found his hair on Clint’s body. They also found Desna’s hair and that spooks Desna. She persuades Roller to flee out of the country, taking a boat from Key West to Havana.

Before they flee, they head to the party Roller’s throwing in her honor. Dean’s there too and Desna asks him if he’s interested in taking a trip to Cuba. However, Dean got back with Virginia and he’s staying with her. Desna cries to Dean, telling him she’s proud of him. Dean thinks something’s wrong with Desna and goes off to find Virginia.

Next, Ann tells Desna her brother will meet with Benedict. That is great news for Desna and the two share a big hug.

When Dean meets up with Virginia, he learns Virginia doesn’t want to get married. That disappoints Dean and he runs off.

Polly brings Ken as her date to the party in case she runs into Joe.

Uncle Daddy tells the truth to Desna and Roller.

At the climax of the party, Desna gives a heartfelt speech, dedicating it to her girls. She tells them they have a bond for life and she loves them. Bryce and Uncle Daddy tell Roller that they will handle his recent legal issues. But that mood changes when Jenn forces Uncle Daddy to reveal that Toby was the real shooter.

That results in Roller choking out Uncle Daddy. When Bryce and Desna get Roller off Uncle Daddy, Roller lets Uncle Daddy know he’s done with him.

Ann’s sitting at the bar when Joe sees her. Both of them vent to one another about their bosses, seemingly agreeing that they are underappreciated.

After they leave the party, Roller gets second thoughts about heading to Havana. He brings up how she won’t be able to stay in Dean’s life if they run. He decides to turn himself in to protect Desna.

He’s going to tell police Desna’s hair was discovered on Clint because Roller slept with Desna prior to Clint’s death.

The next day, Desna confronts Uncle Daddy. She tells Uncle Daddy to find Toby and fix this, or else. So Uncle Daddy heads to every peep show and bathhouse around, looking for Toby. Meanwhile, Roller turned himself in.

Toby’s in a motel when Uncle Daddy catches up with him. As Uncle Daddy puts a gun in Toby’s face, he struggles to pull the trigger. He kisses Toby and then tells him to run.

When he returns to Desna, he lies to her, telling Desna he couldn’t find Toby.

So Desna comes up with another plan.

Desna helps Roller escape from jail and Ann gets rid of Benedict.

The next morning, Roller’s on a prisoner transport bus. Meanwhile, Ann brings Benedict to meet with her brother. Ann takes Benedict’s phone and hands it to Joe.

Desna and Uncle Daddy set up a roadblock, using it to shoot the armed guards on the transport bus and get Roller. Meanwhile, Ann and Joe call in a bomb threat, clearing out the casino. They then set fire to the Casino floor, while Benedict is still in the building.

On a boat, Desna gives Roller one last kiss before she sends him off to Havana to escape authorities. Roller also professes his love for Desna. She’s in tears when the boat pulls off.

Suddenly, Dean gives Desna a call about the casino being on fire. Benedict desperately tries to break out of the office but he seemingly is burned alive.

Outside the burning casino, Ann tells Desna she took out Benedict. Before she walks off, Ann tells Desna that she brought all of this upon herself.

This season was very blah. It didn’t feel like the same show to me. And I’m not here for the Roller storyline. No one wants him and Desna apart. And Ann has to be the most annoying character on the show. Her wife died because of her! Not Desna. Had Ann never ran her mouth to her brother, Arlene would still be alive. Ann gets on my last nerve.

I really can’t stand Ann anymore. She takes no responsibility for any of her actions. It’s always Desna’s fault smh. And why is Toby still alive?!

I am in total agreement with you. Ann was the one who blab Arlene get killed because of loose lips. It is unfortunate that she died this is the repercussions of one action. She knew the Triads was involved. They gangster..Desna and Roller come on now, they been through alot. I’m rooting for them. Someone said, why is Toby still alive?. Why is he?

Love the show but Ann was a ridiculous character, bad detraction to the show.
I hope for more season without bummer Ann and revival of the girls loyalty to eachother.
