Stevie and Mimi are in a good place.
It’s the day of Eva’s 10th birthday party. She wanted an African and safari theme. At this point, things are going great for Stevie. He’s getting along with Joseline and they have joint custody of Bonnie. He’s also in a good place with Mimi too. Mimi credits Faith Evans for all of this. She believes Faith has changed him for the better.
Joc is in attendance. He’s still engaged and looking forward to his wedding day with Kendra.
Rasheeda and Kirk make it too. And they are thrilled Stevie and Mimi are on good terms. When Rasheeda asks how things are between Mimi and Joseline, she says Stevie gave Joseline her number one day. Joseline has been texting her and they are actually being cordial to each other. It seems like Joseline has matured. But only time can tell if this is true or not.
Kendra tells Rasheeda and Kirk that she’s not feeling baby fever. But she’s ready to marry Joc. In a green screen interview, Rasheeda says Kendra is the right woman for Joc. So she invites Kendra and Joc to her and Kirk’s 20th wedding anniversary party.
Momma Dee is having health issues.
Scrappy and Bambi’s son Breland is now 18 months. While things are going well between the couple, they are still having some issues with Momma Dee.
She pops up to visit using a walker to walk. Momma Dee says she has a drinking problem, and kidney stone ruptured in her bladder. She’s had multiple surgeries. The fourth one is coming up and she wants Bambi and Scrappy to be there.
Momma Dee breaks down in tears as she talks to them about her health. Scrappy says she needs to stop drinking. It could cost Momma Dee her life.
So Scrappy got a breathalyzer. He tests her and it says zero. She hasn’t had any alcohol. Of course, this makes Bambi and Scrappy very happy.
Shooter doesn’t want to help Sierra.
Sierra is in the middle of a messy legal situation. And she’s fighting for her freedom.
She takes her kids to the skating rink and Scooter is there speaking about the anniversary of his son Rod Jr’s death.
Shooter’s baby momma accused Sierra of beating her up while she was pregnant. So she could be facing about 12 months in prison if found guilty. Sierra denies that she assaulted her.
So she asks Shooter to testify in court about his baby momma lying on him before and getting him locked up for something he didn’t do. But Shooter doesn’t want to do this. He says that Sierra didn’t even support him when he was in court for his son’s trial.
But Sierra says that she didn’t come because his baby momma has been harassing her. Either way, Shooter wants nothing to do with the situation.
Joc and Kendra have things to do.
While Joc and Kendra are out looking for a puppy, Kendra says she wants Joc to get a vasectomy. She forgot to take her birth control recently. Joc doesn’t really want to do this. At this point, Joc feels like Kendra has been acting differently since they got engaged. But Kendra just feels she has to keep them on top of things before they get married.
Rasheeda and Kirk have a business dilemma.
Kirk and Rasheeda opened up a bistro. They have the kids involved. But it hasn’t been a smooth process. The couple doesn’t feel like the kids are taking their jobs at the bistro seriously.
Rasheeda tells their son Ky that he has to do better as a waiter because the wait times are too long.
But this isn’t the biggest concern. While Rasheeda’s Pressed store in Atlanta is doing well, the store in Houston isn’t doing that great because Rasheeda’s mother isn’t handling business. Kirk tells Rasheeda to have the necessary conversation with her mother.
Bambi gets an update from Sierra.
Sierra, BK, Scrappy, and Bambi go ice skating. In a green screen interview, Sierra says she’s been spending more time with Bambi because Karlie doesn’t come around much since being in a relationship with Arkansas Mo.
As Bambi and Sierra catch up, Sierra breaks down in tears as she talks about her legal problems. Bambi consoles her. And Scrappy is thinking about Momma Dee and her drinking problem.
Kendra and Joc clash.
Joc and Kendra go to see a doctor for a vasectomy consultation. A doctor comes in to tell them what the procedure actually is. It’s really hard for Kendra and Joc to hear even though they are told it’s a really quick procedure.
Joc still isn’t feeling like going through with this and Kendra tells Joc he’s being selfish. And it doesn’t help things when Joc tells Kendra to get her tubes tied. So they end up arguing.
Alexis Skyy causes trouble.
Kirk and Rasheeda have their anniversary party to celebrate 20 years. When Sierra sees Karlie, she asks Karlie to come to court and testify on her behalf since she was at the funeral and saw that Sierra never put her hands on Shooter’s baby momma. Karlie says that she will but in a green screen interview, Karlie says Sierra hasn’t always had her back on things.
Alexis walks in with Akbar V. Apparently, Alexis and Mo dated years ago, so there’s beef between her and Karlie. Since Alexis wasn’t invited, Rasheeda knows things are about to go left.
When Alexis sees Karlie, security has to step in. Alexis is eventually escorted out and Karlie wants revenge.
Momma Dee has more surgery.
Momma Dee is getting ready to have surgery number four. As she’s in the hospital, she’s really afraid she will lose her life. But she’s thankful Ernest, Scrappy, and Bambi is there for her.
She vows to stop drinking if she makes it out of the surgery alive.
Someone may have died.
Karlie Redd is at a funeral home. She calls some of the girls to meet her there before explaining what happened. The episode ends on a cliffhanger.
