The Ratings for ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Drop + ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ Rises

NeNe Leakes had a controversial exit from “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

When it comes to “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” the show is known as one of the most-watched shows on Bravo. In fact, its success has been consistent for years. However, there’s been a bit of a drop-off. And after NeNe Leakes decided to walk off from the reunion, the last part brought in the lowest ratings ever for a reunion.

NeNe’s exit didn’t sit well with producers. So contract negotiations weren’t a smooth process for her. In fact, she claimed that she was asked to appear in fewer episodes. As a result of this and other issues she had behind the scenes, she decided to end her time on “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” And she is not a part of the cast for season 13.

The season 13 premiere brought in a drop in ratings.

While the remaining housewives have fan bases of their own, NeNe’s fans have said that they won’t watch the show. In fact, a petition was even created urging others to boycott Bravo. The creators of the petition are also in support of Mariah Huq. She was booted from the show and will not appear on season 8.

Interestingly enough, ratings are in for the season 13 premiere of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” And the episode brought in 1.418 million viewers. This is a massive drop from season 12. The season 12 premiere brought in 1.907 million viewers. So this is a loss of 489,000 viewers.

While “Real Housewives of Atlanta” declined, “Real Housewives of Potomac” saw a bump in ratings. The latest episode pulled in 1.309 million viewers. The previous episode pulled in 986,000 viewers. This is a gain of 323,000 viewers.
