Monique Samuels responds to Andy Cohen’s comments.
Andy Cohen received a lot of backlash for his actions at the “Real Housewives of Potomac” reunion. Some fans of the show felt he was too hard on Monique Samuels. They didn’t feel anyone else was held accountable. And it was pointed out that Candiace Dillard’s Instagram Live video about the plot was not even discussed. However, Chris Samuels was grilled about his comments on Instagram Live.
As people remain more critical of Andy, others have pointed out that it seems as if certain cast members are protected.
It was even rumored that Gizelle Bryant had a meltdown at the reunion but it was edited out.
In response to this, Andy briefly responded to the criticism on “Watch What Happens Live.” He said that he wanted the reunion to be four parts. And he actually did hold Candiace accountable for her role in the altercation.
Monique isn’t so sure that things were equal. She said, “It definitely wasn’t equal now, no it definitely wasn’t equal.” She continued, “I’ll put it like this, we filmed for 11 hours. I was in the hot seat for a good five, six of those hours.”
While Monique agreed that there was a lot that was never shown, she’s not in agreement that things were equal.
“There was a lot more to be shown but I’m definitely not going to sit here and say that it was equal. The accountability definitely wasn’t equal.”

Regardless, Monique understood she would be in the hot seat, “I knew going into reunion that it was going to be heavy for me and that it was going to be a lot of heat coming in my direction. So on one side, I can’t really be upset with Andy. He was doing his job. That’s what he was there to do. But on the other side, I definitely can agree and wished they would have shown four parts.”
Despite the reunion, Monique still had good things to say about Andy. And she doesn’t think he doesn’t like her.
“I don’t think he dislikes me. I’ve never had an issue with Andy. I’ve never felt he disliked me or anything. I honestly felt like he was just doing his job.”
She also said that every time they took a break from filming the reunion, Andy would go to her and make sure she was okay. He also wanted to make sure she was heard.
