Dr. Simone Whitmore has accepted her status with Dr. Jackie Walters.
“Married to Medicine” returns tonight after an all-new episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Besides the departures of Mariah Huq and Buffie Purselle, the issues in the group haven’t changed much. In fact, Dr. Heavenly Kimes still isn’t in a good place with Dr. Simone Whimore. And Simone isn’t as close as she used to be to Dr. Jackie Walters either. For Simone, she questioned how Jackie could continue a friendship with Heavenly after she called out Cecil on Twitter.
Jackie wanted Heavenly and Simone to hash things out, but Simone can’t seem to move past Heavenly’s treatment of Cecil. Heavenly regrets her actions and wishes they could all just be a trio again, but it doesn’t seem as if that will be happening anytime soon.
On a preview for the new season, Simone talks about where she stands with Jackie these days. She tells Toya Bush-Harris, “I wasn’t really angry with Jackie. Hurt and disappointed, but I was never really angry. I wasn’t mad, I was hurt.”
In a green screen interview, Simone says, “Jackie was always the middleman in all of my problems with Heavenly. Last year, she chose to stay out of it.”
She adds, “My relationship has changed. I’m an adult who adjusts to changes.”
Toya seems to think that Heavenly is the issue. As for Heavenly, she’s willing to fix things if she’s the root of the fallout between Jackie and Simone, “If I was a part of that, I need to fix it with Simone so that Jackie and Simone can continue their friendship.”
