Simon has been married three times.
Simon and Porsha are out house shopping. Porsha says that she met Simon after a DM exchange. As for Simon, he says that Porsha sent him a DM to check on how he was doing after he announced he and his ex Falynn were divorcing. This really meant a lot to Simon. So they began talking a lot after that.
They end up really loving one of the homes they looked at in Atlanta. Both are really focused on blending their families. Simon has been married three times and has five children. This will be marriage number four.
Dennis breaks down the timeline.
Both Porsha and Simon want a new house also for a fresh start after the end of their failed relationships. Simon’s ex Falynn was on the recent season of RHOA as a friend of Porsha. Producers flash back to a scene of Porsha meeting Simon for the first time at the house while hanging out with Falynn.
Dennis spends some time with PJ and Miss Diane. She tells him that Porsha and Simon are looking at houses. He and Porsha broke up in July 2020. Porsha wanted her ring back at Christmas. But Dennis said they shouldn’t rush back into getting back together. Then she got engaged to Simon in May. So Dennis thinks she moves too fast.
Simon is confused by Porsha’s reluctance to allow Dennis to have a plus one at her event.
Porsha admits that she told Dennis that he couldn’t bring a date to her birthday event. In a green screen interview, Porsha says that she doesn’t want Dennis to bring anyone he’s not in a serious relationship with. Simon says that Porsha needs to let Dennis bring a plus one if he wants. Porsha says she just feels like Dennis shouldn’t bring a date.
Porsha has been reflecting a lot since she’s turning 40. But the backlash on social media about her engagement has been a lot. The birthday party will be the first time she and Simon will be out together publicly. Her sister Lauren is planning the party and Simon is paying for it.
Simon posted some photos and messages to Porsha for her birthday on Instagram. But Porsha didn’t like that one of the photos showed the tattoo she got of Simon’s middle name. And Lauren feels certain posts that Simon makes only cause more hate for Porsha.
Social media backlash is getting to Porsha.
In a green screen interview, Porsha says that Simon said that he wouldn’t post anything unless she approves of it. She breaks down in tears and says all of the backlash has given her anxiety. Porsha and her loved ones get on a party bus to head to Porsha’s birthday party. She says it’s okay for Dennis to ride the party bus but he can only bring a date if she looks “like a bus.”
After everyone arrives at the venue, Drew greets Porsha. She says that’s she’s not worried about the controversy. Drew just wants Porsha to be happy. She meets Simon and says it’s the first time they actually spoke. But she did meet him at he and Falynn’s house when Falynn was on the show last season. Producers then flash back to the scene of the drama that took place during Falynn’s Halloween get-together. She almost fought LaToya. Simon restrained her and tried to calm her down.
But Simon tells Drew that eventually, it will all make sense.
Porsha and Simon go outside to talk. Social media is very critical of their engagement. So Porsha needs Simon to check in with her before he posts anything. Simon doesn’t see the big deal because he “doesn’t give a f*ck.” But Porsha does. And as a public figure, her image means a lot to her.
Polygamy is something Simon witnessed growing up.
Simon and Porsha discuss his past. He’s Nigerian and his father had two wives. And his grandfather had 25. He admits he’s cheated on women in the past. But he didn’t cheat on his last wife. When it comes to Dennis, Simon knows they need to be in each other’s lives to co-parent. But Dennis isn’t someone he would even talk to if it wasn’t for Porsha. He wouldn’t even know what to talk to him about.
Porsha hangs out with her cousin Londie. As for Dennis, he’s spending time with Lauren. He tells her that Porsha’s engagement is still messy to him. Recently, Dennis commented on Porsha’s IG post and said she looked so good he almost hit her up. But he remembered she was engaged. Simon was upset and then wrote on multiple photos that Porsha is his.
Dennis has more thoughts about Simon and Porsha.
Lauren tells Dennis that Porsha and Simon were talking for two weeks before the proposal. Porsha tells Londie they were together a month before the proposal. As for Dennis, he wonders if it’s the money that made Porsha want to be with Simon. Regardless, he thinks Porsha looks bad image-wise. And she looks like she stole a husband.
The Mother’s Day event Dennis planned for Porsha was awkward because of the engagement. It was planned prior to Dennis knowing that Simon and Porsha were engaged. He didn’t want to take a photo with Simon and Porsha, but he did it because Porsha asked him to. And it’s weird to Dennis that Porsha got a tattoo for him and now has one for Simon.
Regardless, Dennis believes Porsha is still in love with him. And Porsha tells Londie that she no longer has romantic feelings for him. Londie isn’t so certain of this.
Dennis just feels Porsha and Simon are moving way too fast.
