Peter and Amina continue to have tension.
After Amina calls Peter out about the ladybug Halloween costume, Peter talks to Erica and Yo-yo. He says he’s not homophobic and a gay woman even helped raise him. His 4-year-old son picked up a girl’s ladybug costume and Peter told him it was for girls and not boys. And he’s not going to back down from his views.
Interestingly enough, Rich and Amina talk about what happened. Rich feels Amina shouldn’t have put Peter on blast like that. Amina disagrees. She wanted to be honest and she did clash with Peter about this already. It really bothered her that he wouldn’t let his son wear the costume. She tries to be a very open-minded mother. But she hears Rich out when he urges her to talk to Peter about her feelings.
The pride day continues after the group enjoys a drag show. Erica isn’t really trying to talk to Safaree. So Cisco takes the opportunity to pull Safaree aside and ask if they can talk alone later. Safaree agrees to this.
Tara and Amina hash things out.
Amina tries to talk to Peter but he’s cold towards her. He feels she was being malicious when she brought up the Halloween costume. Amina says this is not the case. And Tara joins the conversation. Tara and Amina begin arguing and people come around to restrain them. Amina has had enough. She feels she didn’t speak up enough when she was living with Peter and he had too much control over her.
In a green screen interview, Bobby says that he recalls adults saying he walked “too feminine.” He doesn’t agree with Peter’s feelings about the ladybug costume.
Peter tells Cyn he’s not homophobic. When his son gets older, he’ll support him if he chooses to wear a girl’s costume. He just needs to be old enough to make that decision.
Cooler heads prevail, Tara tells Amina that they are still good. They won’t always agree when it comes to parenting. But they will continue to support each other’s kids. Amina is thankful that she’s still in a good place with Tara. However, Peter isn’t ready to make peace with Amina. He walks away.
Safaree is fed up with Cisco.
Cisco and Safaree meet for their conversation. It doesn’t take long for it to go left because Safaree doesn’t like Cisco’s tone. Luckily, security is able to intervene just in time before things get violent. Stevie later talks Cisco into trying a more peaceful approach with Safaree, and Peter has the same talk with Safaree. Hopefully, the next conversation will be productive.
Peter and Amina make peace.
Amina and Peter are able to finally talk after they’ve had time to think things through. Amina says she said a lot at that moment because she’d been drinking. But she wasn’t trying to be malicious. She just wanted to speak her mind. Peter understands. He tells her he’s been on the edge because he’s scared of cancel culture. But they are still family and she can always speak her mind about his sons. They hug it out.
Cisco and Safaree’s next conversation includes multiple mediators, including Stevie and Rich. Safaree apologizes and both men agree to drop their issues.
Before the episode ends, Paris arrives. She flew in to surprise Zell as well as support his upcoming fashion show.
Things get uncomfortable after Erica has a lot of alcohol. She attempts to diss rap Safaree about ruining their marriage.
