‘Black Ink Crew Chicago’ Star Ryan Says His Issues With Charmaine Started Because of Neek

Charmaine slammed Ryan because she felt he was being shady on social media.

Ryan and Charmaine seemed to be very close on “Black Ink Crew Chicago.” In fact, Ryan didn’t join in when there were rumors floating around about Charmaine and Van. Don told producers that Van told him that Charmaine “orally pleased” him while the gang was in Las Vegas. Charmaine has denied this vehemently. And Van has also denied ever telling Don this. In fact, he accused Don of making it all up. So their brotherhood is now nonexistent. Plus, Charmaine has pretty much washed her hands of all the men because she felt all of them were shady in the situation with the exception of Ryan. Charmaine’s husband Neek was also not here for Charmaine trying to fix things with Don. He said Don showed Charmaine that he was not a real friend.

Ryan has been very supportive of Charmaine on the show. He was there for her when both of her parents died. He also provided booth space at the tattoo convention when the 2nd City Ink drama prevented Prince from sitting at the shop’s official booth.

Charmaine also didn’t want to involve herself in Ryan’s nasty fallout with his former close friend Anthony. Anthony has accused Ryan of hooking up with his child’s mother. Kitty upset Ryan when she told him that it wasn’t a good look for him to take shots at Anthony on social media. And Ryan felt like Kitty was being unloyal.

So it seemed as if Charmaine and Ryan’s friendship was in very good shape.

However, since confirming that she has left “Black Ink Crew Chicago,” Charmaine has now called Ryan out. And she’s accused him of being a fake friend. Her Instagram post was a result of someone writing that 2nd City Ink is on fire (in a good way). In response to this, Ryan wrote, “sike.”

You can check out the post here.

Ryan responded after Charmaine dragged him.

Charmaine had a lot to say in the caption. She wrote, “@ryanhenrytattoo it’s the narcissism for me. I never said one thing bad about you but I see you big mad. Nothing new. Word on the street is you can’t stand my success. I never had a man be jealous of me until I met you ? it’s gross. That’s your show now so focus on how you’re going to keep it without me, buddy. Don’t hate on me. Remember all those times you told me you were by my side forever? And the whole time you were having meltdowns with production asking why does the storyline always have to be about me ?. I still played nice with you and tried to charge it to the game because we all know how you have those female tendencies.

She continued, “I have nothing but respect for what you built and I sure wasn’t going behind ur back all mad about it ? who does that? Now to hear you’re telling ppl that I wouldn’t have my success without you. You think Vh1 bought the show because of your boring a*s? No. We all built that together and you rode our backs for the longest on ‘your’ show. I hope the guys can see how you’re not a real friend at all. More like an opportunist. Ima stop right here tho because the rest of the things I heard about you isn’t for the internet. Sucks that I had to do this because I truly love your family and your staff but you’re not about to continue to play me. Go have another tantrum about this post lol.”

Well, Ryan responded. He wrote, “This is sad when you got my number and put that lame sh*t from your plugs out there as fact. Hating? Meltdowns? Jealous? Not ever. Like Cmon man, you know the only true thing that ever came between us was how you had to move with your husband and I was just late to the party to find out I was pushed to the side unknowingly cuz of how he felt about me and Ant. Yet, I respected it and still loved you throughout. But this is clown sh*t. Internet is the stomping grounds. Have at it though.”

Neek also responded. He wrote, “7 original main cast members to now 3…you do the math.” Neek added, “Your husband approves this message. We been ignoring the hate for way too long. If we can count how many times he called you a b*tch behind your back…I been telling you, brothers don’t do that. Glad we off the show cause all that keep it cordial for biz is non applicable.”

  1. I appreciate that Neek is always supportive of Charmaine but does he ever tell her she’s wrong? It doesn’t seem that way.

    1. That’s what I want to know as well. While it’s important to have your spouse’s back, you should be honest with them too and tell them when they are wrong. I can’t remember ever seeing Neek tell Charmaine she did something wrong. And who is Charmaine’s source ? A producer? Mess.

  2. Ryan slept with his friend’s baby momma. So I do know he ain’t always a loyal friend. With that being said we’ve watch him actually be there for Charmaine time and time again when she wasn’t all
that loyal to him. So for her to drag Ryan over hearsay is sad to see.

    1. EXACTLY!!!! That post was a disappointment for real. I know a spouse is supposed to have each others backs, but they play the victim to much for me.

  3. I have watched Charmaine over the years on this show, watched her do things to other people and put blame on other people when she was the one at fault. Ryan you are better off. This show has went to her head and she treated people bad that work for her

  4. It was just a matter of time. When Neek went at Don about the Van rumor I paused and thought ?…what does he have to do with that?? That was waaay before him. Does he know that Charmaine fornicated with Don? Now, didn’t Charmaine and Don squash it? Wasn’t it an ?️ & ?️ conversation?
Now it’s Ryan. Look, at this point he’s controlling. He’s choosing her friends. What else is going to happen? It’s something about island and African men who think women are beneath them and she’s to serve him.
Now that her Father is no longer here Neek is going to replace him.

  6. Does Charmaine not remember playing the Telephone game when we were in school? Most of the times people don’t tell you what was actually said about you, they add some hot sauce to it like Gizelle said. It would have been better for her to talk to Ryan in private about this.

  8. I need Neek to stop acting like a female. His wife was and still is the THOT of the show. Forget her being an original cast member. She was a pass around. Her and her cousin Dani. Charmaine got clout and fame from that show that she didn’t build. She put herself in messy situations to get attention for herself. I think Charmaine forgot Ryan bailed her out when her car got repossessed in Chicago. I’m sick of her acting like she is so entitled because she cannot even properly run a tattoo shop. Charmaine is messy and cannot stand to see someone else happy. Now I feel very saddened about the loss of her mom and dad. BUT that doesn’t give her the right to be nasty to everyone (ESPECIALLY RYAN)! NOW RYAN ISN’T A SAINT! Let’s be clear about that. But he has HELPED Charmaine. She has always been the one to be petty and do the tit for tat nonsense. Charmaine just wants some pity and people on her side. She has wronged Kit, She wronged Draya, and she wronged ole boy by telling her friend that he was messing with Draya not knowing the truth. Charmaine needs to go sit down, have her baby, and shut up for once. Put Neek down for his nap cause I don’t even understand why he is talking?????????? All I can say is bye bye Charmaine. Happy to see you go. Trust me the ratings wont be affected.

    1. You’re entitled to your opinions about Charmaine but did you really call her the THOT on the show like Ryan and Don don’t exist? Ryan has slept with multiple employees. Why aren’t you questioning his promiscuity and failures at running a shop? Don would require a whole post on his own. Let’s not forget how he’s done Ashley. Why are they not THOTs to you? You seem really misogynistic, sis. Charmaine has slept with one guy on the show outside of her husband. She’s not a THOT. Y’all love to call women sl-ts but stay silent about men who are actually promiscuous. Shameful. So it really promiscuity you have a problem with or women in general?

    2. Ratings are actually terrible for all the Black Ink shows. It’s too scripted now and every season they find one cast member to vilify, fans drag that person on social media relentlessly because of the scripted nonsense they think is real, then that cast member quits. Instead of you falling for the bait and hating people because of storylines, you should want a more authentic show with more balance.

  9. Y’all Black Ink Crew Chicago is fake. The drama was manufactured and Draya, Prince, and Kitty never actually worked at Charmaine’s shop. By now y’all should know everything on this show is just for entertainment. The only real things that happened last season was Charmaine’s dad dying and Ryan talking to the ex friend he crossed. Charmaine leaving the show is good for her because that means she gets to focus on her real life and real success. Now y’all can move on to some other black woman to bash for fake drama and manufactured storylines because y’all never keep the same energy for the men on these shows.
