After the dinner, Kimmi gets Maurice to speak to Mark.
Kimmi and Maurice are at the office catching up on work. Kimmi lets Maurice know their property title business is in the process of completing its first closing. They’re the only African-American title company in Huntsville.
During their conversation, they recap what happened during Martell’s dinner. Maurice feels nothing was accomplished. Kimmi brings up Mark and how Maurice and Marsau are responsible for him. Maurice says it’s not his fault he’s been brought up. Despite this, Kimmi wants his brothers to make an effort to stop his social media antics.
In fact, Kimmi brings up how it’s hypocritical for them to not stop Mark but want Wanda to no longer come around. Maurice says Mark is the most stubborn person he knows.
Despite this, Maurice agrees to sit down with Mark.
KeKe reveals how she conquered addiction.
Meanwhile, LaTisha’s cousin and Melody’s friend KeKe stops by Melody’s place to catch up. As KeKe helps Melody package her haircare products, Melody tells her about her altercation with Wanda. KeKe’s eyebrows raise when she hears the details of what occurred. Next, KeKe learns about the Comeback Group dinner Martell hosted where they talked about Wanda.
KeKe’s sympathetic to Melody, especially since she’s still in a rough place with LaTisha and Marsau. She tells Melody that Marsau was looking to blackmail her.
KeKe explains to Melody she was addicted to prescription painkillers and stole pills from people close to her. She went to rehab before attending Melody’s dinner. But she didn’t appreciate that Marsau and LaTisha told Melody and Martell about her addiction. And they supposedly joked that Melody needed to lock up her medications before KeKe arrived. Melody’s proud of Keke and feels Marsau majorly betrayed Keke with his blackmail threat at Wanda’s food truck tasting.
Mark isn’t budging.
The next day, Marsau and Maurice meet with Mark in a park. The brothers are looking to be gentle with Mark but they get right to his comments about Vanessa. Mark explains he was on an IG Live with Kiwuha when he said he dated Vanessa which was recorded.
Mark felt some type of way when Vanessa denied ever dating him and he felt attacked. He then claims Vanessa bought him an airplane ticket for his birthday. Mark feels Vanessa wouldn’t have done that if they were just friends.
Maurice says, “modern friends do that.”
He then tells Mark what he posts on social media can be offensive to Vanessa. Marsau then tells him how his defense of himself is causing harm to his family in actuality.
They both then ask Mark to cut it out. However, Marks says he’s not sensitive towards women and he is unwilling to apologize to Vanessa and Melody.
Meanwhile, Destiny and LaTisha meet up for lunch. It’s the first time they meet since the chaos at Madonni’s grand re-opening. As they begin, Destiny vents about her boyfriend Moses. Apparently, Moses complains about Destiny not cooking when she visits him in St. Louis.
Eventually, they recap what happened including Stormi’s gift and Melody’s appearance. Destiny says Stormi “came correct.” However, Destiny feels Melody needs to, “take that air out of her head,” referring to her perceived arrogance displayed during the event.
Destiny then says she hasn’t received an apology from Melody and LaTisha says she’ll never get it. Lastly, Destiny explains how Stormi wants to get all the ladies together and how she isn’t interested. However, LaTisha wants Destiny and Melody to become cordial once more.
Lastly, LaTisha recaps Martell’s dinner and the resolution regarding Wanda.
LaTisha and Marsau count a win.
The next day, Latisha and Marsau host a birthday party for one of their daughters at a local park. Many of their daughter’s friends and parents were at the party. Wanda also showed up.
During the party, LaTisha and Wanda pull Wanda aside. They tell her about the dinner with Melody and Martell. LaTisha tells Wanda about their boundaries and Wanda jumps on the defensive.
Marsau explains to Wanda that she needs to stop talking about Melody and her kids on social media. However, Wanda believes she’s defending herself from Melody’s comments.
She tells them if Melody wants her to stop, Melody should stop talking about her on social media. LaTisha then explains she knows how to handle any tension between her and Melody. Despite this, Wanda doesn’t seem to be willing to change how she moves on social media. But she agrees to stop talking about Melody’s children. LaTisha and Marsau take that as a small victory.
