Vanessa Rider had some controversial moments occur during her first season on BBWLA.
“Basketball Wives” newbie Vanessa Rider clashed with Evelyn Lozada because she accused Evelyn of being a homewrecker. She is friends with Amy Freeman – Carl Crawford’s baby momma. According to Vanessa, Evelyn knowingly got with Carl while he was with Amy. However, Evelyn denied that she knew he was with Amy. She alleged that Carl played them both. But none of that matters today because everyone gets along great in the present. Evelyn and Amy also watch each other’s kids, so Evelyn couldn’t understand why Vanessa brought up the past drama. But she and Vanessa were able to hash things out. And they agreed to move forward.
After Vanessa and Evelyn moved on from their issues, Vanessa then did some digging into Jennifer Williams‘ fiancĂ©, Christian Gold. She told Jackie Christie that Christian served time in prison and has more children than he told Jennifer about. Although Vanessa said she intended to protect Jennifer, Jennifer did not see it that way. So Vanessa was accused of being messy. Jennifer and Evelyn also said that Vanessa is unhappy in her marriage and seems to be taking that out on everyone else.
Vanessa has been open about her marriage since she stepped on the show. She told Evelyn that she was devastated about a miscarriage she had. Vanessa said she found out Isaiah Rider was having an affair because the woman threatened to expose him. Vanessa was pregnant at the time. The stress caused her to lose the baby.

On the recent episode of “Basketball Wives,” Vanessa talked to Isaiah about expanding their basketball gym business by purchasing a new gym in LA. However, he told her that he wasn’t interested in living there. They then switched topics and Vanessa asked Isaiah if he would be interested in renewing their vows like Jackie and Doug Christie do annually. At that point in the conversation, Isaiah told Vanessa to “stop.”
He proceeded to say, “I’m not even biting on this.”

Vanessa discussed the scene on X after a fan of the show commented on Isaiah’s actions.
The person wrote, “Omg Isaiah is literally disagreeing with everything Vanessa is suggesting. Something deeper is going on here.”
Vanessa responded, “Production told my husband to because they were “trying to make a TV show.” Actually, he was agreeing with me in the first take. I guess it didn’t go along with how they wanted to portray us.”
What type of production arrangement was that? If that’s how people see you on TV what do you expect?
Who does Vanessa think she’s fooling?
Did production also tell her to say that she hasn’t talked to her husband for 30 days?
They blame everything on production. Is it worth it to look that stupid 🤔

Vanessa. This is the one thing I will agree with Evelyn on. Please know your self worth. Your husband doesn’t appear to be emotionally available . I would say that some people are uncomfortable with being in front of the camera. Your behavior as well as the brief interaction between the two of you tells it all. I think this is one of those cheaper to keep her situations. That’s why you do all of the spying and investigating because you can feel your marriage is over. I hate to say that about anyone’s marriage. I want everyone to be happy, in this case, it’s like you two are business partners or you just one of his employees if your name isn’t on any of the businesses.

If you have to spy and check (smell him) that’s a red flag. His tone speaks loud and clear and we’ve never heard him say I love you! It’s hard to believe that production would ask you to display drama and has never asked Jackie and Doug. Shaunie and Shaq either before they divorced. He wasn’t a regular on the show but he made appearances from time to time. We only saw your husband on face time for 5 minutes or less and he always looks annoyed. Sweep at your own door before you tell anyone wise you’re coined the Collector. And get a new hairstyle, those bangs are horrible and add 20 years.
