Kelis may not be reuniting with her ex-husband Nas ever again in life according to the singer, but she does plan to make her official comeback to the music scene.
According to a new statement released from music label Ninja Tune, the artist is set to release a new album in 2014.
The press release confirms she just inked a deal with Ninja Tune and her upcoming album entitled “Food” will be released April 28, 2014.
Kelis herself expressed she’s extremely excited about her new deal and album on the way and says the following:
“I’m really happy to be partnering with Ninja Tune on my new record. This is the album I’ve wanted to make for a long time and I want the team around me to be as excited and energetic about it as I am. I’m also very happy to be working with some of the most creative people in the industry.”
