Mariah Carey said recently in an interview that sometimes her husband Nick Cannon irks her nerves because he says a little too much about their relationship to the media, so we can only assume his latest interview is probably making the music diva cringe.
Nick and Mariah have managed to stay married for almost six years in an industry in which most people can barely stay married for one year, so it’s not surprising that people are always asking the couple to share their secrets to maintaining marital bliss. However, when US Weekly asked Nick how he and Mariah are able to keep their marriage “alive,” his simple answer had a lot of people scratching their heads and some even suggesting it’s just “TMI.”
When asked how they manage to keep their marriage alive and the passion levels high, Nick simply says:
“Lots of sex.”
Interestingly enough, when asked the same question during their recent interview with EBONY Magazine (they cover this year’s Celebrate Black Love issue), they said having “dem babies” has made them closer and their spiritual connection keeps their marriage going strong.
But back to Nick’s answer, is it just the not so politically correct truth or is just TMI?

Well yes, lots of sex is very important, but it’s not the only thing that keeps marriages together. But a lack of sex can kill a marriage fast.
Mariah, please put a muzzle on your husband.
Usually the ones who say they have lots of sex aren’t having much at all.

I don’t see anything wrong with what he said. It’s the damn truth. I will never understand why it’s such a crime to talk about sex in this country. It’s not like we’re not all doing it. So why pretend not to? And lots of sex is important to every marriage.
What he should have said is lots of GOOD sex. There’s a difference.
This is why I don’t believe Mariah when she said she doesn’t like when Nick shares too much. If she really felt that way she would have shut him down but yet he is still talking. Mariah is not slick she likes when Nick shares this kinda information I’m convinced.
Sex plays a huge part in a marriage I would think! People need to have sex to keep their physical concoction strong.
He should have kept this to himself.
I’m not married but I would think lots of good sex, great communication, loyalty, spirituality and honesty keeps a marriage together!
