Reality television fans have made no secret of their love for the “Real Housewives” franchise.
The Atlanta cast is easily one of the most watched reality shows on television, and Potomac is growing rapidly just two seasons in.
Despite that, many fans of the show have claimed on social media that neither gets a big push advertising wise from Bravo in comparison to the whiter shows in the same franchise.
Monique Samuels just wrapped up her first season on RHOP and rumor has it, she’s been filming for the upcoming season as well.
However, she still made time to call out a fan on social media for only including the black casts for a poll questioning which housewives wear the best wigs and weaves:
Nonblack women love to pretend we’re the only ones who wear weaves/wigs. And when you call them out for it, they love to play stupid.
I can’t remember who but one of the Atlanta housewives talked about this too. White women also wear weaves/wigs/extensions. Yet, black women have been made the mascots for it.
Welp. She’s got a point.

I appreciate that she pointed out the bias. This happens way too often.
WEaves, wigs, eyelashes, fingernails they all get down black, white and green. My only peeve is stop wearing hats on top of weaves and please Cynthia stop with that floopy fro wig, it looks terrible. You need to know every compliment is not always sincere.
