Gabrielle Union Almost Passes Up a Movie Role for Dwyane Wade

Did Gabrielle Union almost pass up a movie role for Dwyane Wade? Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have been an item for some years now.  And as the celebrity couple has received some negative attention and heavy backlash over how their relationship initially began, Gabrielle and Dwyane haven’t seemed to let anything or anyone break them apart, leading people to wonder just how serious things were getting between them. As people have inquired about if they are growing nearer to making things official, Gabrielle assures that she is not looking to become Mrs. Wade any time soon, still enjoying her girlfriend status for now. Although not ready to jump the broom, Gabrielle Union continues to openly express how happy she is in her relationship with Dwyane Wade. And when it comes to being supportive of her man, Gabrielle makes sure she is front and center at his games, cheering him on and doing some trash talking too. She is even willing to pass up acting gigs for him to it seems as the actress was on the verge of doing at one point in time.

A few summers ago, Gabrielle Union was offered a role in the indie dramedy “In Our Nature”. But her decision to accept the role was a somewhat hard one for her as she was concerned about missing D Wade play with his Heat teammates in the playoffs, she tells the NY Daily News:

“I was like, ‘The Heat may be in the finals, but let me see,’ ”

After putting a lot of thought into, she eventually decided to take the role and said that she did end up missing the majority of the final playoff games:

“I did miss a lot of the finals that year, the Heat lost. But this movie was my win.”

Gabrielle Union has mentioned before how serious she takes her career. Looks like though she is willing to push it aside when it comes to supporting her boo.
